Ghost Hunters Thread & Personal Ghost Experiences & other Paranormal Talk.

Bella, I've been seeing Shadow People since I was around 18. The first time I saw "Him" was at a diner with my friends. "He" followed me around for a few days and I just got used to it, then he left. I saw other shadow people off and on over the years.
Funny thing, but that's exactly what I called them even before I knew anything about them. And if I were with someone I would say, wow, I just saw another shadow person, like it was normal.
When I first moved into my home where I am presently living, there was a Shadow Person in my hallway. I've seen him day and night, light and dark, didn't matter, it was the same shadow in different spots up and down my hallway. We've been here 16 years and even though I haven't seen him/her lately, they still make their presence known. Don't ask me why the hallway, I don't know.
Everyone in this house and even visitors have "heard" our ghost in the hallway. I could go on and on with stories.:rotfl:
But back to the Shadow People. When I told my father a few years ago about the Shadow People, he said, oh, yeah, I see them too.
They are not all the same. The first Shadow Man I saw was Huge - he was about 6 and a half feet tall and very broad in the shoulders. Even though I couldn't "see" his eyes, I did see them. I saw an all black figure and white eyes with pupils. The one that's in this house is small, about five foot.
Funny thing is, this house was built by a small Italian guy. I didn't know him but I say small because the ceilings are not that high and the doorways are low, too and I know he was the builder of this house.

Another dimension? maybe. I do know that they are not residual spirits because every time I see one, I get a feeling first, like they are in the here and now. Even the hallway ghost is "intelligent" My husband "challenged" it one day and it scared the crapola out of him.

But I don't think Shadow People are ghosts....that's just the feeling I get.

I'm editing because I've just read the wikipedia entry concerning shadow people.
#1, I "know" they're there before I see it. I'll "know", I turn my head or look up or down or sideways whatever, in response to my feeling and then I'll see it.
#2 I've seen this one particular shadow person in my hallway at all times of the day, with all types of lighting, but always the same short figure.
#3 as far as my hallway is concerned, there is no great electromagnetic field. I have an EMF detector and believe me, I've swept this whole house. In fact, I have the EMF detector sitting atop a picture frame in the hallway. Whenever I hear the ghost, I turn it on. A few weeks ago while studying for a test I heard him in the hallway. I was home alone and I heard him so I turned the EMF on. I went back to the kitchen table to study. I was so engrossed in studying I could barely notice the gentle beeping coming from the hallway. My thought was that it was on the wrong frequency, and I got mad at myself for not putting it on the right frequency, but I had a lot of studying to do so I just left it. it stopped beeping. When I was finished studying I was walking down the hallway to go to bed and I checked the EMF.....to my surprise, it was on the Correct Setting for Ghost Hunting! I was so mad at myself that I didn't acknowledge the beep and check it out!

Corryn,
Can you tell us more stories? You said you had lots of them. WHY have you been holding back?:confused3 We were dying on here. As you can see we had to resort to Whoppie Pie stories. I wonder if it is some sort of a sense that is passed from generation to generation. I also wonder if there are multi-demensional layers to time. I know that sounds like I belong at a Star
Trek convention (never watched it) but when I saw GH at the Mt. Washington Hotel and heard the EVP it crossed my mind.

I know I just said my DH was away but I am out of school so if I stay up all night in fear it is okay.

Okey Dokey... Picture this so you get of sense of where things are. You walk into my front door and you're in the living room.
(That's where we used to have the TV, but we've redone the den which is adjacent to the livingroom and put the TV in there since we want to be able to enjoy our fireplace...)
Back in the original living room about 13 feet to the left when you walk in the front door is the beginning of my hallway. As soon as you enter the hallway, the bathroom is on the right. The hallway is about 16 feet long. Before we remodeled, DD2 bedroom was on the right, after the bathroom (that is now another hallway leading up to our room, and half of DD2 bedroom is now the linen closet, hallway and my walk-in closet). Other DD1 bedroom is straight ahead at the end of the hallway, and our bedroom (now DD2 bedroom) is on the left at the end of the hallway.

DH was always yelling at my girls to close the bathroom door while they were doing their business, even if it was gonna be quick, but you know kids...So DD2 who was about 10 at the time, was in the bathroom and we're all in the livingroom watching tv. It was in the summer and all the windows and doors were closed because we had the whole house A/C on. No drafts, no storms outside, no wind - typical August hot sweltering motionless summer day.
So she's in the bathroom and I hear her tinkling. All of a sudden, the bathroom door Slams! Now the TV was in the entertainment center on the wall to the left of the front door, so I had a great view of the TV, the hallway and the bathroom. Out of the corner of my eye I saw the door SLAM. DD was still tinkling and there's no way you can even grab the door while you're heiny is on the toilet......
Me, Ed and DD1 sat on the couch and were speechless. Even though the A/C was on, everything felt weird, very still and electric. We ALL just saw/heard what happened. Two seconds later, DD2 came running out of the bathroom, Who Slammed The Door On Me?!?! Why did you do that! It scared me!
We didn't know what to say. I was waiting for DH to talk, so I said, Kyra, look at us, we're all laying on the couch, we didn't touch the door.
I saw the door close and I didn't see anyone closing it. The bathroom window is closed, right? She said, yes. I don't want to talk about it. And she went into her room.
She knew what had happened, but she wouldn't say it. She got angry and was trying to convince herself that we did it to her.
I waited for her to bring it up because she's "seen" a little girl ghost in her room and DD1 has seen the little girl ghost With an older boy ghost so this is a touchy subject in our house. So Later while we were eating dinner Kyra (DD2) brought it up. She said, Mom, I know it wasn't you guys who closed the door. I said, how do you know? She said, because when it was closing, I saw it close and I didn't see anybody closing it.
Me and DH told her that we think it was the ghost, and the ghost knows that Daddy is always yelling at you to close the door while you go to the bathroom, but Daddy was too tired to yell this time, so the ghost handled it!

Now, you just can't slam that bathroom door. The bathroom door is one of those very light hollow doors. You physically have to push/or pull it to close it. The door knob must be twisted in order for the door to close. If you push the door closed, the latch will just hit the door jamb. You have to physically turn the knob in order to retract the latch so it fits into the door jamb, you know what I mean.
So the "ghost" had to physically close the door and turn the knob!

Like I said, we all witnessed it, there was no wind, no gust, no windows or doors open in the house, I saw no one close it, Kyra was tinkling at the same time the door closed, it's a mystery:wizard:

Love the stories Corryn!

:yay: More, more!!! :yay:

:lmao: Well at least they stayed with the WDW theme. :thumbsup2

I personally don't believe in crop circles. I think they are all fun hoaxes, especially since they all seem to be smashed down in a pattern and there area always connecting lines to the other circles.

Crop circles, I think they are done by humans with too much time on their hands.

Okay,

I will thow out some topic and you guys can either discuss OR research it and come back with info.

Shadow People
what are they, who are they, where are they, have you seen one, do you think they just live on another dimension parallel to us?

Shadow people ? :confused3 I'm not too sure, my youngest daughter would not sleep in her room when she was little she said the shadows were scary. We moved all 3 kids into the same room. then when we putolder DD in that room she is the one thatsaid she saw the little girl dressed in white in that same room. So maybe youngest DD saw shadow people and then about 2 years later, older DD also saw something. Older DD is still in there and hasn't said anything about seeing anything in there.

WOW Corryn! :scared:

I am happy to announce I have NEVER seen a shadow person. ;)

Corryn, I agree WOW to both stories! :scared1:

But tell me, did your daughter start closing the door after that?

Good stories keep 'em coming. Can you tell more about the shadow people. What do you think causes it? Do they come at certain times and not others. You said your husband faced one down did he see it? It is just so creepy to me b/c i JUST found out about them about 4 years ago. I cannot believe I never even stumbled on the term in all my reading over the years.

I want to be part of this thread i love Paranormal experiences!! I also love ghost Hunters!

Well......since u asked

i was at a party and we were playing with a Quija board we asked if anyone was their we waited for about 10-15 minutes so we were about to put it away and the lights started going on and off the phone was ringing and it was just all around creepy! i have NOT gone near a Ouija board since

corryn :scared: nice stories!

I've never seen a crop circle in person, but for some reason they never did anything for me :confused3

I was telling my hubby about George and the POC ride and said "i'm gonna try it when we go, so I can let the GH crew on the Dis know if anything happens" he tells me "please dont do it with our DS on the ride, if you do he(George) might follow us home"

I will try in august, just to see! ;)

I haven't been able to find George on POTC. It has been closed for refurb both times we have been there. :headache: 3rd times a charm, right?

Ooooh, let us know what happens. :hyper:

I'm going to try it in Dec too. I'll let DH know, but I won't tell the kids, DD would freak out and have the ride stopped.

I am going in august too but as far as I know the only time that George has an affect on the ride is when the CMs do not greet him when the ride starts in the morning. I will take photos or is that one of the rides that does not allow it?

We used to play Ouija after school when I was in HS. We used to sit on the 3rd floor hallway before reharsals or whatever we were doing and play in a small group. One day we get a "hit" some spirit I'll call Frank (to protect the "innocent") well Frank started talking about his time at the school and how he died. He gave us the year, what activities he was in, etc. We were able to verify everything through school records (which was just freaky).

One day, a donkey ex of mine (not ex at the time) found out we we playing and he took my board and made me watch him burn it. I todl him not to do it, but he was an !@# (we lasted about 2 minutes after this and then I got rid of him). Anyway, he burned it. Well, the thing is made of cardboard and plastified paper. You'd think it would burn like paper, all gray and black. Nope. The flame was green and the actual burning paper was the color of glow-in-the-dark stuff. That yellowy green. It was freaky.

Good story. As to the board mine was made of wood it does not matter what it is made from ...you could make you own I bet there is some stupid site on the wb that gives directions. It is that you open yourself up and allow the spirits to come in that creates the freaky-ness. :scared1:
