Awhile back, my daughter submitted information to the show Ghost Hunters Academy. Well, she got a request to send five recent pictures of herself to the show casting agent. I'm not sure why what you look like should matter when hunting ghosts, but apparently it does. They liked what she had written about why she would like to be on the show.

Anyway, I now have mixed feelings on this and so does she. She has just started a new job as a teacher. If they were to decide they want her for the show, she'd have to decide between the show and the teaching position. I think the teaching position would win out, although it would be fun to see her on the show. I think she'd be a good ghost hunter. Of course, she may not get picked at all. Funny how things work out.

I think it would be awesome to hang out with Steve and Tango and do some Ghost Hunting!! What a cool opportunity!! I'd have mixed emotions about being on a reality show, but it would be very tempting.

Ooh I love Ghost Hunters Academy! If she gets an offer to be on the show, she should take it! I teach, too, but if I had the offer I would go on a teaching hiatus.

What she looks like matters because it is television. Even reality shows choose people carefully for their ability to attract and hold an audience. The original cast of The Real World would never have seen the light of day by today's standards.

I hope your daughter gets picked. Sounds like a hoot and a half!
