GG - ? regarding room check in

We are having a gg in a few weeks. I am the member and have booked a gv and 1bdrm on my points. The 1bdrm is in someone else's name. I will be at SSR early, early to "check in" and am wondering if I will be able to do so for the 1bdrm. Our ressies are linked via gg#, but since the other person's name is on the 1bdrm, I am wondering if I can check in, since it was booked on my points or if I have to wait for them to show up.

We are all family and I'd like to get in their room early to put a few surprises in there.

You should call MS and have your name added to the other reservation. Even though it is booked on your points, you cannot check in since your name is not on the ressie. If you add your name then you can check in. However, you will be placing your credit card on the account to do so. Not sure if it will be an issue though since you are already listed on one reservation for that day already.

This is the case even for husband's and wives. If the ressie is in DH's name, I cannot check in unless he is present with me.

Also, if the DDP has been ordered, it has to be paid in full at time of check in so that would be both rooms.

Why thank you very much! I am very much a Disney addict! I have been active on the DIS since 1997-98 and it has brought me much pleasure, many great friends, and a wonderful husband, lol.

And if I don't know the right answer, we have lots and lots of folks here that can chime in with their input! The DIS really is a great DVC planning tool!
