Hi.

We are staying at GFVs in a one bedroom beginning Wednesday, October 5.

My dd wants to request a crib, not pack n play for my grandson, who will be 14 months.
Do you think I have a good shot coming in on a Wednesday and getting an actual crib, or do you think, from experience,
that I should rent from an outside company?

Thank you all so much! This is our first time going to Disney with my grandson!

They definitely got some of the old school metal ones during Covid, but they didn't have any at all before. You could get lucky, but I wouldn't rely on it.

If you're staying cash, I bet they'd track one down for you. I wouldn't expect that level of service for DVC.

The pack and plays are standard for DVC and the ability to get a crib seems to be something new.

But, I would go the rental route since the pack and play isn’t something you want if they don’t have the crib..not even sure if they have them to give to DVC at VGF.

Thank you. This honestly wasn't the answer I was expecting to get so I'm very glad I asked.

Thank so much!

There are off site locations where you can rent a crib and have it delivered.

Cribs are VERY limited at resorts. If they get damaged they are not replaced.
Really there is not enough room in most rooms. They are just in the way . Different then in a nursery in a home.

Even if you do get a crib, any crib I’ve ever gotten from a hotel is the old clanky metal kind that my kids never sleep well in. The one I rented from kingdom strollers last time was a full size wooden one just like at home.

I got an old school metal crib twice during Covid, once at Poly and once at BW. They looked brand new.

I know they have started using Pack N Plays again now, but there was a point they were using metal. So, it is possible.

The metal cribs others are referring to are not actually full sized cribs anyway - the mattresses are the same size as pack and plays (although thicker like a true crib mattress.) I would also recommend renting a crib.

Thank you all very much!

I will see my dd tomorrow ans let her know we will rent from Kingdom strollers.

I appreciate all the responses.

I'm at the VGF main villas (VGF1) and they asked me if I wanted a crib or pack n play. The clearly have some of the metal ones from Covid still in circulation.

We arrive on Wednesday! See you on Main Street! I rented a crib from babyquip and will be left for me at the villas. Kingdom Strolers didnt have any for rent when I asked in August.

Thank you for the update! Ill be flying with the steoller, and bag lol, the Cares harness and have the crib ordered. Thank you sooo much for all your help the last couple of months! If you are at Enchanted Rose and see four generations, or our shirts saying such, please come say hi and I will buy you a drink!

We used to rent from abbf.com. Not sure if they’re still around but they were great for all things baby related.
