Has anyone does Grand Floridiann Cafe for lunch? How was it? What did you order?

Thanks :goodvibes

we have done this. It was two summers ago so I don't remember what we ordered but I remember the small deserts - yum. I remember that it was not crowded, good food and a nice experience. We had dinner there last summer and DH and I both had steak and shrimp - it was good. Whenever we go there it is very pleasant and not crowded. recommend!

We love to take a break from the parks and head over to the GF for lunch. On a hot summer day, it feels so good to sit there and relax over a nice meal. I have ordered quite a few things at GFC. My favorite is the chicken noodle soup - I know on a hot summer day soup just doesn't sound that appealing. I love the chicken salad sandwichs. Yummy! We plan to do lunch there on our next trip to the world.

We make a point to eat at the GF Cafe every trip to WDW. Usually we go for lunch, but breakfast there is also delicious. :thumbsup2 It's a very pleasant break from the parks and I highly recommend it.

We ate here for lunch in Jan. It was a nice relaxing atmosphere. I cannot remember what we all ate(there were 7 of us). I know my bil had the Grand sandwich, mil had the soup & sandwich combo, both said they were very good. I think the rest of us had cheeseburgers :confused3 I do know we all left happy & content :goodvibes

We've done lunch at GFC once and it was great. I had the burger and DD had the cheesesteak. We also enjoyed the mini desserts!

We have lunch there almost every trip and love it. My daughter always gets the Grand sandwich...it has had various names over the years but it is ham and turkey with boursin cheese. It is very tasty. There used to be a Cuban sandwich on the menu which DS1 loved. Other favorites include the tilapia, cheeseburger, french onion soup, chopped salad, a rice and shrimp dish which our DIL loves, chicken or tuna salad sandwich and a bowl of soup.

It is such a pretty restaurant too with great service.

A great place to have lunch. As others have said, we always make time to go there, such a pretty and peaceful atmosphere. I usually have the Grand sandwich which is huge and terrific. My DH had the cheeseburger and loved it. The chicken sandwich is good too. For dessert I recall having strawberry shortcake, it may have been a special for that day. They did not have the mini desserts at that time.
We've always had great service. I highly recommend it!

DH and I just ate here this past Wed. while DD was at the Wonderland Tea Party. Excellent meal and fantastic atmosphere! On the dining plan, so we got appetizers...crab cakes (very good!) and spinach dip (my favorite!) DH got the Grand sandwich which he ate all of, and I got the chicken noodle soup and the shrimp salad sandwich. The soup was good but the sandwich was great! Maybe because you usually don't hear of "shrimp" salad sandwiches. We got key lime pie and lemon cheesecake for dessert. The pie was ok but the cheesecake was to die for!! VERY creamy!

We'll be doing this one again. :thumbsup2

is it always neccessary to have an ADR for the GF Cafe, or has anyone had success being seated as a walk-up??

We did not have ADR's when we ate here lunch in Jan. We were checking out different resorts & decided it was time for lunch when we arrived here. We only had a wait of 15-20 minutes. During busier times it might not be as easy.
