Best way of getting from Grand Floridian to Hoop de Doo???

Don't want to use to car as I'd quite like some "orange juice"

So, i'm thinking........

Monorail from GF to Contemporary. Boat from Contemporary to WL. Then walk to whereever Hoop is?

Does this sound right? How long do you reckon it would take?

Monorail to contemporary and then boat to Fort Wilderness NOT WL as hoop de doo is at FW

Same boat, 1st stop Wilderness Lodge, 2nd stop Fort Wilderness - then easily walkable to Pioneer Hall (where Hoop De Doo is). Wayneg confirmed for me that return boats run ubtil about 11pm - as I had a similar query.

Might be better to get boat at MK - monorail stop only short walk to jetty - think I've read it's quite a way at Contemporary.

So, can you get a boat from MK to Fort Wilderness?

I guess it's as long as its short.

I like the idea of the mile walk between the two resorts - we might do that after Hoop and go and look around WL!!!

Yes there is a boat between MK and FW, the walk between FW and WL is nice, its through trees, but its not that well lit at night, I love the walk in daytime but put off by it for night time

Either way, I'd leave my resort at least 1 hour ahead of time. Actually, both times we attended HDDR, we left 1 hour ahead and made it in plenty of time. The first time we were staying at the Poly, took the 'rail to the MK and the boat from there. The second time we stayed at BLT and took the boat at the Contemporary. I think it took us about 15 minutes before the boat showed up at the CR. THen the ride itself seemed like less than 10 minutes but I could be a little off.

BTW, at the end of the HDDR, the CMs will direct you to the buses, not offering the boat ride back. But you should know, the boat does take you back and IMO it's a better ride. Not only does it seem to be just as fast but it's so nice and you may get a really close look at the Electric Parade on the lake.
