GF to Wilderness and back, What's the best way?

We have to meet relatives at the Wilderness Lodge at 10pm in August, when the Magic Kingdom is closing at 7pm. What is the best way for us to get to the Wilderness Lodge from the Grand Floridian, and to travel back at about midnight. Does anyone know if the Monorail continues late and are there busses from the TTC to the Wilderness Lodge running all night. Please help. We have always rented a car and this is all new to us.

Well, I don't think the monorail runs more than 2 hours after the parks close. Same with the buses. Your best bet to get to WL is to take the monorail or boat to MK then take the boat to WL. On the way back, you might have to get a cab. It isn't THAT far, but I wouldn't walk it at night, either.

At that time of night the boats will no longer be running. The monorail will run until about an hour after Epcot closes, so before 10:00 you can still take it to the TTC, then transfer to the "Boone" bus. WL will be the first stop.

Getting back will be harder. Buses run from WL to the TTC until 2:00. But the monorail will no longer be running to get you from there back to the GF. Sometimes they position a bus at the TTC late at night to take stragglers and "lost" travelers where they need to go, but you can't count on that. I would take a taxi from the WL.

Thanks, what is the deal with the taxi, I just go out front and they will get one for me? Late at night like that?

I'd go to the front desk or guest services and tell them you would like a cab back to the GF. They should be able to call one for you.

As far as cabs go, all you need to do is go to the front desk or out front to valet service and they will get one -- there are usually cabs readily available at the GF even late at night.
