GF Sugarloaf or Poly pool view?

I have to agree with you all; prices are way too steep, even with the discounts offered!

After our 2018 WL stay we thought it was time to return to Epcot area. i think our last stay in that area was 2014! Since we’ve mostly stayed in MK area. Checked prices for YC and almost :faint: Couldn’t believe the increase. Seems they really jacked up prices sometime in 2018. It’s crazy. So I rebelled lol and got a Uni AP and stayed at their deluxe.
For WDW it’s mod or Pop now.

Which mod do you prefer, Sue?

I’ve always loved POR-Riverside. But now with the Skyliner I’ve booked CBR for our Aug trip. We like CBR, it was the first on site resort we stayed at. Beautiful tropical landscaping. And love those hammocks on the beach. Looking forward to our stay and seeing all the changes to CBR. I think the Skyliner will be a game changer. I’m planning on making a few ADRs along the Boardwalk and YC/BC.

So, finally made the reservation for the first part of our split stay and the winner is.......
AKL, lol

I liked your thoughts/ideas of staying at 2 different in atmosphere resorts (looking at you, GADisneyDad), I don’t love the fact that the Polys rooms/hallways/elevators can be a bit on the shabby side and Sugarloaf seems to be loud, if you get a room near the lobby. Eventually I’d like to try all the resorts, but for now it’s AKL and BW!

Thank you all again!!!

An AKL/BWI split is a nice choice that will definitely give you two totally different experiences/atmospheres. Have a great trip :wizard:.

Great choice! The AKL is simply gorgeous - I'm sure that you will love it! Plus, as MickeyNut1 pointed out, the BWI and the AKL are as different as it gets. AKL has the benefit of being beautiful, relaxing and having the best food on property (IMO). The BWI is a really nice Epcot area resort as well - so convenient to Epcot and DHS!

Enjoy your split stay!!!!

Thank you mickeynut1 and babsy for your kind words! I hope you both enjoy your next trips as well!

That’s a really great point, although the idea of grabbing a glass of wine and sitting out by the pool sounds pretty amazing😬 Appreciate the input thus far!

Yeah, but at the Poly you can be sipping on a (not free, but awesome) Lapu Lapu. Nothing says vacation like a drink in a hollowed out pineapple!

I'd choose Poly just for the Dole Whip, but honestly, I like everything about that resort. It makes me feel like I'm in paradise.
