GF Room Request

Hey Everybody,
Staying at GF (lagoon view) for the first time next week. Called GF and asked for Boca Chica, third or fourth floor, and an unobstructed view. Wife wants view of the kingdom, but I told her you have to pay extra for that room. Does this sound like a good request? Guy we reserved the room with said to do this and we might get a view of the castle?

I'm not sure, but I thought that Boca Chica rooms were (at least primarily) TPV or GV? There may be some rooms in Conch Key that are LV that would have a sideways view of the castle? (this would be my request)
Big Pine Key has LV rooms, but they look toward the Polynesian. Nice views, but not of the castle, I think.

I have stayed at the GF often, but never had a LV room with sideways view of the castle. Some people do get them, though, so there is a chance.
the only time that I had an obstructed view was also the ONLY time that I requested an unobstructed view! LOL! I'm not sure that I would do that again. We looked directly into a tree that completely blocked our view of anything! we could have moved the next day, but we decided that it didn't really matter to us much that trip and stayed where we were. (It was almost funny - we got the exact posits of all our requests. However, we were at the GF. It didn't really matter and we had a fantastic time. Of course, we had already had the view of the MK with the castle on previous trips, so we had only booked a garden view anyway.)

Depending upon what you are looking for, I might request a full balcony, upper floor rather than 3rd or 4th floor, (unless you are fine with a dormer room)

Wait! We don't want a dormer room. I thought they were on the top (5th floor) of boca chica?
I'm sure we will be delighted anywhere we stay but the guy said we could have a great view if we requested that. Lol

I posted a similar question on the GF thread:

We are headed to the GF for the first time and are booked in a "lagoon view outer building". I looked on touring plans and but I'm sort of confused because some of the lagoon view rooms seem to have views of MK while some seem to have views of the pool ? So do you have a recommendation for best views in this room category - is there a particular building to request?

Also - touring plans seems to say that all lagoon view rooms only have two queens and none are king beds? Is there any point to requesting a king bed? We have two kids, one of whom will be in a crib and the other will be in the day bed/Murphy bed, so I'm thinking that a king bed room, if it exists, would probably give us the most space?

Yes! My mom was in Boca Chica lagoon view back in October. There was a small tree in front of her room, but she could still see the castle and the fireworks!
