GF or Poly Consierge?

We are planning our next trip and are trying to decide between the Poly or GF consierge. We have stayed at the Poly Consierge before, but might want to try a new resort.

Can anyone tell me about the GF consierge? My price quote is for the lodge consierge. How far is the monorail from this area and how far is the lounge from the rooms? I'm confused about the general layout of the GF. Also, are the rooms about the same size as the Poly? Thank you for ANY help!!

The distance from Sugar Loaf to Monorail station is about the same as Hawaii to Monorail, if not several yards shorter. The lounge in on the first floor by the entrance. From the second floor--where we stayed, sorry don't remember the room number, was right by the elevators-- you could see right down the lounge. My husband was able to scope out what was being served before going down. The room was smaller at SL than Poly. From what I've read from this board, Poly and Contemporary have the largest rooms.

SL and GF in general is more formal, which has its pros and cons. One of the pros is having all the food served on silver platters with doillies(sp?)

If the price quote is the same for both the Poly concierge and the GF lodge concierge, I would go with the Poly. I wasn't overly impressed with the lodge. Because of the way it's situated, you can't get a Magic Kingdom view. The lounge is located on the first floor along with the concierge staff. I thought it was very cramped and I really didn't enjoy eating at a table that was kind of stuck along the sides of the back door hallway. Other than breakfast and afternoon brownies, my kids really didn't like the food that was served either. It seemed to be geared towards more "grown up" tastes.
