I was able to watch them work on the house while I was having Tea this past Wednesday (11/9). Amazing how quickly they get the pieces up. They began baking the gingerbread back in August.
A woman sitting next to me told me her husband was working on the house as he works at GF. She would get up from her tea to take more pictures. Anyway, she told me that they have to make repairs every morning because people take pieces or take bites out of the house.
That is just wrong on so many levels. Besides destroying property, people really do NOT want to eat any part of the house. Gloves are not worn while building it so hands are all over every piece.
It really was fun to see the beginning of the house though. Wish I could go back to see it finished. Guess I'll have to settle for seeing other's pictures of the finished product.

All it takes is a parent to turn their head for a second and there you go.....a piece of gingerbread gets snatched! Not that it makes it right, but I'm sure it wasn't anything dastardly.
