GF Castle View

Hiya

We are going to Disney for our 2nd time. We went last year and stayed at the GF, and are doing the same again this year. Last year we were very new to it all and didnt know any of this existed or all the different views and just how big Disney is.

Anyway my question is where is best to request a lagoon view room if we want a good view of the MK and the Castle? Also we would want a no smoking room, would this make any difference.
If the view and no smoking is our priority, is it better not to mention anything esle with our reservation like king bed, would this make us less likely to get the view?

Mike,
The best (non-smoking) building to request for a MK view is Conch Key as it has a direct view of the castle. However, there are only a limited number of lagoon-view rooms in this building, so there is really not a guarantee that you will get this view. There is also the Boca Chica building which has the best view of the lagoon as a whole, and you can see the castle, but it will be off to the left - not a direct view.

Be aware that there are some lagoon-view rooms that have no view of the Magic Kingdom, so you definitley want to request the MK view, but there is always a chance you won't get it. So just be prepared for that in case it happens.

Also, as far as requesting a king bed goes, I would recommend against it, because it would reduce your chances of also getting the MK view. I would just request non-smoking and MK (castle) view.
