My DD and I wanted to go to Geyser Point for dinner on one of our MK days. We have heard so many good things about their food and atmosphere. I've heard conflicting information...Can we travel from MK to WL to eat there or can only people who are staying at the WL eat there? Since it is considered QS, we don't have an ADR for it.

Anyone can eat there. It is an outdoor counter service restaurant, although I think post covid you might be seated with a menu? It's been a few years since we've eaten there. It is not considered a table service, and as far as my experience, one can't make reservations.

We love to go there from the Fort for lunch prior to our MK days.

We went there from MK recently for the first time and loved it!! Nice boat ride from MK. We went mid-afternoon and I joined the wait list on MDE while on the boat. Only about 20 minute wait anyways. There wasn’t a ton of seating so I would try for an early dinner just in case. Menu is in the app or scan the QR code that the staff will give you once seated. Hubby and I split the portabella mushroom salad and the bison burger. Delish! (And a few great beverages)

ETA: we were not staying at WL at the time... anyone can eat there using Disney transportation.

Arriving to any resort via WDW transportation for dining is allowed.

Last week around 5:30 pm I took a boat from MK to WL to eat at Geyser Point. I’m not exaggerating when I say the entire boat let off and everyone headed to Geyser Point. There was a long wait but you can join a walk up ahead of time, or order drinks and sit down below on the water.

Good idea to try for an early dinner and thank you for the heads-up on jointing the waitlist. I thought you can only do that at TS restaurants that normally take ADRs. It will be our last night of our trip and I think it would be a great way to spend our last dinner at DW. Then we can head back to MK and try and do some rides before we close out the park for our last evening of our trip.

Wow! That's crazy! Thank you for the information, hereforthechurros! I think we will try and go for an early dinner.

Thank you, Nabas, for the pictures! It looks so nice and relaxing.

Has anyone tried the smoked turkey sandwich or the Roasted Salmon? We want to try the bison burger too because we heard so many good things about it.

I had the salmon with greens & ancient grains last week. There’s also squash and red bell peppers under there. One of my faves!

The bison burger is very popular, you can’t go wrong.

How do you join a wait list? It wasn't in use during our last visit?
In MDE I clicked on the map then filtered ‘Dining’. I then found and clicked on Geyser Point. It brought up a ‘Join walk-up list’ so I put my info in there and joined. It was easy and fast. I do think they very recently added Geyser Point to the walk up list. We did this last Tuesday.

It was nice... we strolled through their amazing lobby and checked out the gift shop then received a text that our table was ready. Not sure if their walk up list option is always there or just upon brink of getting busy. I believe they offer To Go as well.

We were there last week.
Went during the afternoon to take a break from MK. Not staying at Wilderness.
Loved the atmosphere. Good food and drinks.

I'm assuming that even though this is called a QS restaurant, we would tip like a TS restaurant since we are being served?

I am glad to hear that the boat is running. I for some reason didn't think it was. Now I am going to have to explore and see if the DS boats are running too.

Geyser Point is a table service restaurant. Perhaps what you are seeing is a reference to the pickup window that is part of it?

We went in December 2020 for a late lunch, and took the boat over from MK. The QS window hasn't re-opened post-COVID, but we were told we could either wait for a table (in the serviced/covered section), or we could order at the bar for takeaway. We did the takeaway order, and it was super quick and simple. We went and found seats down on the water (literally on the other side of the bushes outside the official seating area), and I could see the bar and just went back over and picked up our food once it was ready. (This was before they recently added it as a mobile-to-go option on the app)

It's a great place but I just read a review (last 2 weeks) where the bison burger was noticeably different. It used to be the big "go to" on the menu, but this particular person said it was tasting more like the regular theme park burger and they were disappointed in the change.

I was looking at Geyser Point on the DW website. It was listed as quick service. Is that the pickup window? Is the TS part called something different?

My guess is they call it QS because it does not accept reservations.

At Geyser Point, a server will come by, take your drink & food orders, bring your drinks & meal to your table, bring you a bill, just like a TS restaurant.
