Geyser Point

My guess is they call it QS because it does not accept reservations.
That makes sense. I think we will do it as a TS restaurant and if it's busy, we can just mobile order and eat the food near the water as people had mentioned.

It's a great place but I just read a review (last 2 weeks) where the bison burger was noticeably different. It used to be the big "go to" on the menu, but this particular person said it was tasting more like the regular theme park burger and they were disappointed in the change.
I hope they didn't change it! I was really looking forward to trying it.

I was looking at Geyser Point on the DW website. It was listed as quick service. Is that the pickup window? Is the TS part called something different?

When the DDP was around, Geyser Point was consider a CS even though you were served. Weird, but we have gone so many times and it was always just CS credits. We did tip and treat it as a TS but we only had to use CS credits.

In MDE I clicked on the map then filtered ‘Dining’. I then found and clicked on Geyser Point. It brought up a ‘Join walk-up list’ so I put my info in there and joined. It was easy and fast. I do think they very recently added Geyser Point to the walk up list. We did this last Tuesday.

It was nice... we strolled through their amazing lobby and checked out the gift shop then received a text that our table was ready. Not sure if their walk up list option is always there or just upon brink of getting busy. I believe they offer To Go as well.

Thanks that's so cool, I just checked it out from home but it said I was too far....only 5 minute wait...lol

I thought it was considered a lounge? No reservations, no dining plan was accepted for table service.

It's kind of like a quick service lounge hybrid because they have the bar in the middle, but then different seating options with servers around but they don't take reservations but they do have someone who will seat you but they don't offer an AP discount.

Also the heaters are more towards the inside area and not so much the lounge chairs near the outer edges, but that only applies during the winter months. And if it's really busy, you check in and someone puts you on a wait list and they'll text you when your table is ready.

I've been looking forward to trying this place as I've heard nothing but good things. It's in our plans for June, but I recently heard they made changes to the food and recipes and it's not as good. Can anyone confirm?

I just saw a similar review in the last 2 weeks. Food has changed to a lesser quality was what the vlogger said. "Michael Kay" you can easily find him on YouTube. I've also heard it elsewhere.

I was at Geyser Point this past Tuesday. The quick service counter is now open for mobile pick up. When I was there in September I had to order to go food at the bar, which really sucked. The bartender was overwhelmed and was getting visibly frustrated. Mobile order was awesome. I ate on a seat by Bay Lake.

I had lunch at Whispering Canyon and only ordered dessert at GP. The chocolate campfire thing I had was very good and recommended it.571435

Is it possible for one person to get food from roaring forks(picky eater) and the other 4 from GP and still sit in GP seating area?

A friend has special dietary needs and brought their own food when they joined us at GP. With 4 of you ordering from GP, I don't see why they would mind.

My DD and I wanted to go to Geyser Point for dinner on one of our MK days. We have heard so many good things about their food and atmosphere. I've heard conflicting information...Can we travel from MK to WL to eat there or can only people who are staying at the WL eat there? Since it is considered QS, we don't have an ADR for it.
I recommend an off-peak hour/early dinner. When we stayed at Boulder Ridge recently, we were able to grab a dinner table for 4 at 5:45, and immediately after the wait jumped to about 45 minutes. If you are on a waitlist, the grounds are very nice to walk around with a drink while you wait! The food, ambiance and service was great at Geyser Point. Highly recommend a black cherry mule if you enjoy those type of cocktails.
