Getting your room preferences

Hello, World!

We made reservations months ago for the ASMusic. Now we are leaving in 11 days -- hooray!

To be sure we get the building we want (close to the pool and bus stop)... do we have to do anything in advance? I don't know the internal process. Are rooms pre-scheduled, or do you have to go through some kind of request process?

How does it work?

Of course, we already asked for a non-smoking room, but what else would you suggest we do, and how do you request it? Any suggestions on how to be sure we get what we'd like?

If you are talking about a preferred room...close to pool and main building...you have to reserve that type of room, it is $10 more per night...maybe a little more now.

Other than that...all the rooms are fairly close...the all star resorts have a great layout.

I had planned on staying at the ASMU for my trip, before I changed to the POR . So I had researched the info quite a bit. From everything I read, the Jazz buildings are the next best buildings after the preferred buildings. Calypso buildings are the preferred buildings, for which you are charged $10.00 a night extra, the Jazz buildings are next in line and from looking at the resort map are not too far from the pool and the main building.
Fax your request in 4 days before you go, and request what you would like to have, the building even what floor you might like to be on.
Last year we stayed at the WL in the middle of Dec, and I got exactly what I asked for. Sometimes they can not accomodate your request due to how full the resort is etc. Just remember that they can't honor everyone's requests, but they will do their best.
