Getting weird page when trying to open DIS using Chrome

I know..that is what was throwing me. At the top of my page, in the address bar.

I had to click on the link to see what the heck a favicon was. And while I was reading the definition, I got a pop up on that page, from Wikipedia, asking all readers to donate $2.75 for something or other ( I stopped reading the page and closed it) , I just can't escape pop ups no matter where I go, lol!

Wikipedia is trying to raise money to keep operating. Or so they say.
