We will be taking our cruise midway through our trip and we're staying on I.drive with no car.

Obviously a taxi between the hotel and the port is the obvious solution, but to save some $$$ we were wondering if it was possible to get a bus, or at least get a bus to somewhere nearby and get a taxi the rest of the way?

Or a taxi and then a bus the rest of the way?

Or is it possible to take a bus to MCO and pick up the airport transfer????

We always use a rental car. Some ideas I can think of, and maybe someone will say they are not possible, but here goes. If your hotel takes you to WDW maybe you could get transfers from Disney and have your hotel drop you off at the correct Disney Hotel or transportation center, really be a lot of trouble since you will have all your luggage and may have to use Disney busses. If your hotel takes you to the airport get Disney transfers from there will also have to drag your luggage around. If your hotel will take you to the airport rent a car, drive to the port and drop off the car, still draging around your luggage. Just do the reverse after the cruise. Have the hotel take you to Disney and go to the Swan, I think and rent a car, not sure which rental company is offered. You could use a cab for any of the above also. Use a car service to take you to the port from your hotel, which in my opinion would be the least trouble from the above suggestions.

Thoughts.....the cheapest is a rental car. You can turn it in at the port. Since the port and MCO are considered the same area, I know there is no extra charge to drop off at the port if you rented at MCO. Not totally sure about I drive.

The other thought is a private limo. The cost for limo service is about $90 from WDW to port, so should be about the same for I-drive. THis is a lot cheaper than a taxi, but more than a rental car.

Third thought...get back to the airport and take DCL transfers--they are $30 per person, don't have a clue what it would cost you to get to MCO.

As stated above you can rent a car, hire a limo or towncar. The cheapiest way is the rental car about $60 round trip. I think the limos/towncars run around $100. I would think a taxi would be a huge amount. PC is an 45 minutes to an hour from Orlando. If your hotel has a shuttle to the airport you could always take that and puchase the Disney transportation. It is $59 per perspn.

$33 bucks for one day rental. We will turn in the car in the morning and the Budget has a free shuttle to the port. :cool1: DCL transfers would have been $150 one way for 5 of us. All the other shuttles were hi too.

It is very easy to rent from Orlando airport. Reserve your car and check in then you walk across to the rentals and pick the one you want and drive away. We got a full size for $33 total. Then you can stop by the store or go to dinner ect.... Convenient and it is not a bad drive to Port Canaveral.

I will probably drop the others off at the port in the morning so they can go in and then I will take the car and drop it off. :cool1:

Good luck!
