My step mom and I are going on the Podcast Cruise and we are flying in from different cities on different days and are getting to the hotel in different ways. I planned on a town car, but she really didn't want to spend the money for a town car. Is there any other choice that is more economical than the town car that doesn't include using the Mears Shuttle? I have heard not great things and was wondering if there is any other way for me to get her to the hotel on the 9th and back to the airport the Friday after the cruise.

TIA,
Kim

I thought that the Dolphin has also ME....
Maybe i'm wrong.....

A taxi may be your best bet Kim.

Would she do a one-way car rental? I think you can rent at the Swan/Dolphin and drop it off at MCO

you can go with Mears and take a bus. It's $19 one way. The only issue is you could stop at a lot of hotels before yours. We did take a towncar, when we stayed at the Dolphin this summer and it was $60 prior to tip.

This is true with National/Alamo. Before Magical Express, I would do a one day rental from the airport, dropping it off at the Dolphin the next day, after making a Publix run. Then the day before I had to leave, I'd pick up the car at the Dolphin so I wouldn't have to deal with any lines or delays of same-day rentals, and I'd just reverse the process.

You might have to pay for parking if you do keep the rental for one day rather than doing a drop-off, so I would probably research that first. Since I parked at my Disney resort, that was never an issue.
