Getting to the Board Walk from All Stars

Can anyone tell me if you can get to the Board Walk from the All Star resorts using the Disney busses?

Bus from All Stars to MGM, then boat or walk to Boardwalk; or
Bus to Downtown Disney (or Magic Kingdom or Animal Kingdom) then bus to Boardwalk.
If you're going for evening entertainment, chances are your only options for return to All Star are bus to DTD then bus to hotel; or taxi.

Yep! There are no Disney buses that run from resort to resort. If it were me I would take the bus to MGM and then walk to the Boardwalk. It's about a 10 minute walk.
