Please help me identify all the options for guests staying at Disney World and getting to SW.

Obviously,
1. renting a car
2. Lynx bus
3. Mears transfers
4. Taxi

Any others? Preferences?
My friends are trying to avoid renting a car. They have 2 children and also want to avoid the bus (they have done it before though).

I was told $19 each round trip on Mears, which seems a little crazy to me.

Any idea what a taxi would run?
Thanks so much for any help!

The fastest way to get there would be taxi. The least expensive would be via Lynx bus. You could rent a car, but, parking is 14.00 not to mention the price of the rental plus gas. If it were me, I would opt for the taxi. Not sure at what resort you will be, but, this fare calculator may help. http://www.mearstransportation.com/taxi-services/taxi-fare-estimator/

We have used the Lynx bus system. Very easy...cost is something like $2.50 pp, one way. You can get the bus right at the TTC...take an early morning bus to MK and then monorail over to the TTC. You do need to tell the driver you want to get off at SeaWorld though...otherwise, he won't stop!! You will get dropped on the street, at the parking lot. Cross the parking lot and you're at the entrance.
When it's time to go home, cross the parking lot again, cross the street (pretty easy to do) and go left to the bus stop sign. The bus will come along shortly..pay your $2.50 and you're good to go.

The bus seemed to be used by many CMs heading home after their overnight shift in the morning. If you go to www.golynx.com you should be able to find the timetable. I think it's the number 50 bus but that may have changed.

We have taken the bus and a taxi. From Pop, the taxi was about $25 plus a tip each way. They dropped us off right by the main gate and when we were ready to go, they were always waiting. The bus was cheaper, and we took it when we were staying at Poly (I know....expensive resort, cheap transportation option and cheap resort, expensive transportation :confused3) and could walk right across the TTC to the bus stop. I didn't want to take the bus when we were staying at Pop because we had to get up, take a bus to MK, then boat or monorail over to TTC, then onto the bus to Sea World that makes several stops. The bus drops off at the very back of the parking lot of Sea World. The bus only comes every half hour, so you have to time it out right going and coming back. It just wasn't worth the time to me. If you have two familes, you can take a taxi van. They are the same price and you could split it, making it cheaper.

Bumping an old thread. If you are taking the bus to SW, will it also take you to Dsicovery Cove? How long does the whole trip take by the time you get to the TTC, then to SW?

Not that I know of. It drops you off at the SW parking lot, so you would have to get to DC on your own....to the best of my knowledge anyway.
It took us less than 30 mins once we got to TTC. We knew the bus schedule ahead of time, so got to TTC about 10 mins prior to the bus departure time.
