getting to park early???

I thought this should go on the tranportation board but then I thought about the resort details and the Princess Story Book Breakfast details and thought it should go on the Resort board or the Dining boards...so here I am on the "strategies" board

HELP.....

I just got a PS for the Storybook Breakfast at Epcot for August 30th (Yeah!!!!!) but the PS is for 8:40am

The CM at CRO told me to talk to the All Star Movies resort when I check in and that they would arrange me to get to the park by 8:15....so we can walk through the park and be at Norway's Askershus by 8:30.

She also told me that most of the 8am buses will be going to Animal Kingdom for Early Entry, but that the resort will make arrangements for me to get to Epcot way before opening.

Has anyone ever heard of this??? Do the resorts ever contact the buses for a special pick up?? Am I really on the wrong board???

Any other suggestions????

I don't know if I would trust relying on the resorts to make arrangements for you or not. I am not saying they won't or not, but when we were there in April we asked about getting to the Contemp. Resort (We were staying at CBR) and was told they run buses early for PS meals. Needless to say we got a bus and it was us 2 and 2 others and the driver who was going to the MK took us straight to the resort. So you might get lucky.

From my understanding there are special "breakfast" buses running to pick up guests from the Disney hotels and take them to their early character breakfasts.
I would check with your resort when you get there (or call them).
In the worst case situation you can easily grab a taxi from your hotel to Epcot. Taxis are available from all Disney resorts and area a quick and relatively inexpensive way to get to where you need to go.
Make sure you have your PS number with you since Epcot will not be allowing in guests at that hour except for the breakfast.

Wow!! Special "breakfast" busses...I have never heard of those. I sure hope they are going my way!!

Thanks for the info about having my PS# with me that morning.

I just realized that we will be in the park about 40 minutes before it opens That will be sooooo cool!!!!

Tyler the bus driver posted about a month ago that character meal busses start running at around 7 a.m. I know we had no problem at the Swan catching a bus to MK, but the Swan and Dolphin have excellent bus service. I would be at the bus stop extra early so you don't have to worry about missing it.
