Getting to magic kingdom during...

January 5th-8th. MK on the 7th.
That's half marathon day so not as many roads will be closed as Sunday. My biggest piece of advice is getting there early. We had a breakfast ADR at 1900 park fare on Marathon Sunday last year. 8am ADR, left BC at 7, got to TTC monorail to GF by 7:30ish.

That's the 1/2 marathon day. I have the Princess 1/2 book and the course runs directly in front of Contemporary.

Getting to WL or FW and then boat to MK is the only way to avoid that area's roadways.
Princess half and WDW half course are the same. There might be some minimal course changes for 2017 but nothing major.

I honestly don't know. We weren't there specifically for the event. ....

I hope a runner can let us know what races are going on.

Knowing the month you were there would have told us what race. :)

RunDisney.com is open to all to peek at. Schedules and everything! Just in case you ever wonder about a future trip and if it will be impacted. :)

Going January 5th-8th. MK on the 7th.

That's the biggest weekend! Others answered more already of course. :)

Although course info is not up for marathon weekend in January, yet. So someone unfamiliar with runDisney wouldn't find information too easily at this time. Don't think there will be major changes to the first part of the half or full marathons in the early miles, but we don't quite know yet.

Okay - if rope drop for MK is 9am, we will need to grab a bus (still get on a bus marked MK even though they will drop us at TTC??) by 7:30, leaving from OKW? Does that sound right? This will be 1/8, Sunday morning of Marathon weekend.

Just talking schedules like what race event what month and what exact race on what day.

Sounds about right. I think that's my plan for Saturday.
