Getting to know us ? for 11/13

I love most things in the sweet family.
I have to say I am an ice cream person. When we are up in NY finger lakes area there is a place we (and by that I mean me) go called Seneca Farms. They have the best ice cream. I get heath bar crunch. The best part is it is a drive through.

I also love canolis and cheese cake.

Ok now I'm hungry and I have to go to bed. worked all night

I love brownies, chocolate ice cream, chocolate cake, homemade chocolate chip cookies, black forrest cake, and most anything else with chocolate in it!!!

I am afraid that I have a bit of a sweet tooth and like almost every dessert.

The only thing I don't like are Italian pastries. I know I must sound crazy, but I am not a fan of custard. So anything made with it is out.

Ice cream (obviously). But there isn't a Key Lime pie that i would pass up. That is my number 1 "dessert" since ice cream is more of a food group.

In truth though, if it has sugar I will eat it happily!

We have a great ice cream place up here in York-Brown's Ice Cream up on Nubble Light...it is the best and the saddest day of the year is when is closes for the season but the best day is when it opens back up in the spring!!! They make the best frappes and brownie sundaes!!
I also love Boston Cream Pie...I haven't had REALLY good cheesecake since we left NY

I LOVE bread pudding - but a good bread pudding with butter-rum sauce and no raisins!

Also love tres leches cake (never tried to make it myself though).

Just got a recipe for the Oreo bon bons at Cape May Cafe - those things are SO good! It's a complicated recipe but I think I'll try it for Christmas.

i sure will. i will be digging it out in the next few days to get the stuff so i can make it for thanksgiving for my dh. he just loves it. and it's super easy to make.

I really have never met a dessert that I didn't like (except maybe pie - I am not a big fan of pie) but for a favorite I would have to go with cake. Pretty much any kind - although yellow cake with chocolate frosting used to be my favorite. A really good carrot cake may have surpassed that.

When my DsDs were younger, my Dad was the official birthday cake baker. He would make whatever kind they wanted (the most memorable request was strawberry cake with strawberry frosting topped with gummi bears.) For any family dinners we had, he would always bake a cake. He got so into doing that, that he does it just for himself now. There is ALWAYS a cake in his fridge. And I have been known to call him up and request that he bake me a cake "Just because."

me too!!!!!! i love really sweet frosting. my family boo's me because they like the whipped cream kind. next week when it's my birthday i've already said "hello folks, i want the REAL frosting!!!!!"
