We are flying in Sat Nov 26th and should arrive by 10am. We scheduled the Hoop Dee Doo Review for 4pm. We have 2 small children that will need naps in the afternoon. Is it feasible to think we will be in our room and have time for the girls to nap before needing to leaving for the show. This will be our first time at Disney so I'm not really sure if this is a good idea or not. Any input would be appreciated!

I would never recommend booking a non-refundable prepaid event on arrival day. We've had too many flight issues. Also your room may not be ready upon arrival which could make it difficult to get that nap.

:) Sure it is possible. If you are coming from one of the resorts plan at least 1 1/2 hour travel time. You need to be at the MK gate to wait on the boat at least an hour before the reservation. The boat was late for our HDDR dinner last year and the man was out front calling our name when we arrived.

Disney is huge, like the size of Manhattan. It is very organized but you do have to have a plan.

Which resort are you staying at?

That depends on where you're staying. And when your room is ready. And how willing your children are to nap when they are in a new and exciting place.

We arrived on a 10am flight and made it to WL by 12pm. But our room wasn't ready until at least 1:30pm. It is possible that your room might not even be ready until 3pm.

With a 4:00 show, if you can't fit in the nap, can you make it an early bedtime? You'll be done by 5:30 and will have had a huge meal, so honestly that might work better anyway, if that would work for your kids.

I absolutely agree with this....esp. since you may not get in your room until 3pm & you'll have kids with you that need a nap.

Well, if you do make it:
you park at Fort Wilderness and walk to their bus depot. then you wait for a regular Disney bus that is marked yellow line. They will take you all the way in through the circuit. and the driver yells out for anyone there for the Hoop De Doo which stop it is.
There are also CM's planted at the bus deopt because i think it must be a confusing thing for a lot of people.

Pakey makes a good point here. You'd like to think there's no way your flight could be delayed that many hours, but at that time of year you should plan. for possible weather issues. Also, is this not the Saturday of Thanksgiving weekend? That is an insanely busy air travel time. The room availability for a nap is another variable. Good luck with everything.:earsboy:
