The good news is I have a work conference in Disney World! We are staying at BCV, where we have rented DCV points. Now, what is the fastest way for me to get from BCV to GF every morning (where the conference is actually located)?

Two options, either take the bus to the MK (if it's opening early enough for you), then the monorail to the GF, or take a cab to the GF.

The fastest way: Take the bus to MK and take the motor boat from there to the GF (the boat goes directly to GF. The monorail has 3 other stops). The monorail is recommended if the weather is bad.

I'm not clear on when the transportation starts running from the resorts. It is either a half-hour or a full hour before park opening.

The fun but not fast way: Walk through Epcot's International Gateway and go across Epcot to the entrance. Take the monorail to the TTC. Change at the TTC to the resort monorail and ride to the Grand Floridian. Obviously this will only work if you 1) have an annual or park hopper pass for accessing Epcot; if it's a park hopper you should plan to visit other parks during the day; 2) have plenty of time to spare; 3) don't mind walking.

If you are in a hurry, or want more control over when you leave and when you get there, the cab from the BC is the best option.

What conference do you have at GF??? I've always had my eye out for a conference there that I could use as a work excuse.

Bus then boat!

What time does your conference start in the morning? If you're in a hurry & have to take a taxi, will work reimburse you? I always found that they would pay for taxis to anywhere, but it's been a while since I've travelled on business.

Cab is by far the best way to get from any resort to any other resort (unless they're both monorail.) It will cost you less than $10. You shouldn't wait any longer than you wait for a bus and you'll go straight there.

No way a cab is less then $10 between BCV and GF. I've done it MANY times, the least the meter has ever been was $12, plus tip of course. That's as recently as January and with no traffic.

If it's before 8:00am, the Character Breakfast buses will take you directly there.
