Getting to Boma and Animal Kingdom?

So we are thinking we are going to add in a meal at Boma.

So we would have to go from Port Orleans French Quarter to Animal Kingdom lodge in the morning. Then Animal Kingdom Lodge to Animal Kingdom for the day.

Is this possible? Would we take the disney bus from POFQ to AK, and then walk to AKL? How far is this walk? Is there a better way?
we are trying to avoid another character breakfast (we will do chef mickeys 2 times on the trip our first morning and our last morning. we also have 1900 park fare, and garden grill . thats 4 days/character meals out of 7 days)

You can't walk from AK to AKL. Take a bus to AK then bus from AK to AKL.

Definitely take the bus from Port Orleans French Quarter and then transfer to the bus for Animal Kingdom Lodge. Enjoy breakfast and take the bus back to Animal Kingdom.

Remember that French Quarter is way on the other side of Disney World and will share bus stops with Riverside. To get to the Animal Kingdom will be a long haul. After that, it'll be easy since Animal Kingdom Lodge is just five minutes away so even if you do just miss a bus, another one should be along in about ten minutes.

Hi, we discovered that the cab works best in this kind of situation. Had never used one until last time and it was great! It is fast and cheap - under $10. Considering how valuable your time is at WDW (if you take the total amount you spend and divide it by the number of hours you are awake), boy you don't want to waste time and money riding buses all morning! BTY I never did that actual calculation before. Wheh!
