OK, now that I have meals planned for my DS, I need CS ideas for the adults. I think I have decided on getting the wonderful POP chef to prepare my son's allergy friendly meals to go and take them with me. I have heard great reviews on him, and I know he will be able to do more for him with so many allergies than the CS in the parks. I have never used a dining plan before, since I don't buy tickets. My CM cousin got a deal on it for us (not free but still great) and a great deal on staying at POP. So, I want to make the most out of these meals! There will be 3 adults. I don't eat much when I am hot, so I thought I could share some meals with my mom like the Cosmic Ray's half chicken and rib combo. It looked great, and that would give us an extra meal for later. We will each have 4 CS credits. We have ADR's around 5 each night. I want to stay away from the typical burger and chicken nugget meals as much as possible. Most of our park time will be at MK and Hollywood, but we may also spend some time in the other parks too. Cousin works at Epcot, so we will most likely be meeting her there the first two days to get our tickets. she is off the rest of our trip! So what are your suggestions in each park and even hotels to make the most out of CS credits? Any tips you can give me? If you can, please include pics.

I don't have any pictures, but at MK Cosmic Rays and Columbia Harbour House are our favorites.

For HS we like Fairfax Fare. It is a BBQ place and you can probably share here as well.

For MK resort CS you might want to try the Contempo Cafe at the Contemporary.

At Epcot, Sunshine Seasons has great selections, but any of the country CS places around the world are good too (and definitely not your hamburger/chicken nugget meals).

Thanks for the suggestions. What does everyone think of Starring Rolls Cafe? I saw some yummy cupcake pictures from there. I love peanut butter and chocolate together!

Just curious how you are getting dining plan if your cousin got you the tickets...It is my understanding that you can only add dinning if you book room and tix or staying DVC (which you said pop so not DVC) or you had an annual pass (which it didnt seem like those were the type of tix your cousin was getting you). So how did you get dining included?

It is a special offer that cast members get for family and friends. It isn't offered all the time, and wasn't offered last time we stayed on site.

We finally ate at SR for the first time last year (hard to believe when you see how many times we have been to WDW and been on the DDP). We ate a late breakfast snack there using SC. A great deal. the sandwiches looked good and we planned on making it back for them but never made it. I know they close fairly early so if you are planning a meal there don't plan on dinner.

My family sounds a lot like yours. When it's hot, we don't eat much. My DM and I or DD11 and I have shared many CS and TS meals. Cosmic Rays is a great choice for sharing. One time when DD was about 7 we even shared the chicken/rib combo 3 ways!;)

Sunshine Season in Epcot is good. Another one that you don't hear much about, is Kringla in Norway. Last year I got a CS meal there that was way more food than I could eat. And very good too.

Another of our fav. CS is WPE, in DTD.

I love to take pix of our food so here are a few....

That all looks soooo good! Pics really do help you decide what to eat. I don't think I have heard of Kringla before on here, but that is a lot of food. I haven't paid attention that much walking in the parks to the food choices. We have always brought sammies etc and made gone out for a couple TS. I always get my Mickey ice cream bar too.

I've also shared the 1/2 chicken meal at Flame Tree in AK.

I share the adult pizza and salad with dessert with my younger niece also. I don't eat a lot in one sitting when it's warm out.

Thanks!

Kringla Bakeri og Cafe is where they have the Sweet Pretzels (as seen in photo), School Bread that everyone raves about, and one of my favorites-Rice Cream. And the CMs here have always seemed very nice.:goodvibes

For non-burger CS meals I like -

MK - Columbia Harbour House - tuna sandwich

DHS - Starring Rolls - turkey sandwich

Epcot - Morocco or Sunshine Seasons

DTD - Wolfgang Puck Express

They all sounds great! Which places have the best CS dessert options? Or are all of them basically the same at each place? I heard that you can't get the butterfinger cupcake at SR as a dessert, but can use it as a snack credit. I wonder why?

It seems like most of the CS in the parks have the same, or similar, desserts though there are exceptions. Many have chocolate cake or mousse, carrot cake, cookie, etc. Places like WPE have better options, IMHO (See Creme Brulee above).

I hadn't heard that you can't get a cupcake at SR as a dessert. I don't know why you wouldn't be able to. :confused3

Check out the menus on this board and allearsnet.com to see what desserts are available. You can also do a google image search on WDW menus (even by certain places) to see photos of the menus. I did this recently while updating our possible snack options. ;)

WPE in the DTD Marketplace offers the best CS at Disney, IMHO. It's one of my favorites. We ate there twice this week, OOP. Their pizzas are perfect for sharing, too. I love the meatball and pepper and the spicy chicken pizzas. The mac and cheese, spaghetti with meatballs, penne bolognese, etc. could all easily feed two people. The creme brulee is my favorite dessert, but they also have fresh brownies and cookies that are wrapped to go. I could eat there every day!

Thank you! Any tips on the dining plan? (i.e. I have read that you can get a large drink with the CS meal, and don't have to stick with the small one.) Is there anywhere you can get a milkshake as a drink with your meals?

Our ADR's: Boma, Kona Cafe, Cape May, and Les Chef's de France.

As long as there is a large soda option you can get it but you have to ask-the CMs won't usually tell you. ;)I know there are places you can get milkshakes with your TS meal, but I haven't done this so I can't say for sure.
