I've never done much research when it comes to getting a good rate on rooms, so please bear with me. I'm thinking about going to WDW for a week in late October. We want to stay at AKL savannah view. I don't know how to go about getting the best deal on the room. When I price things on online, expedia.com seems to have the best price for air+hotel. If I book through them, can I get another discount? For example, I'm a AAA member. I'm also thinking about buying an annual pass for a room discount. How do I know which will give me the best rate before I book? If I book through expedia or AAA, can I switch to an AP rate if that would save me more, or am I stuck with what they quoted me? Should I book through disney and hope I can get a discount later? I'm kind of afraid of booking now and getting stuck with a higher rate.

I always either book myself through CRO for room only and use AAA and have once gotten an AP rate. I don't know if things have changed but I watched for AP rates to come out here or Mousesavers and then called to book them. I bought the AP after I was sure I got the rooms. I book AAA packages through AAA. All of these you should be able to change your reservation if another better deal comes out if it is within the cancellation period( before 45 days with a package and 6 days room only). I don't know if expedia is as forgiving i have never used them.
