Out of the hundreds, probably nearly thousands of times I've been to WDW, I've never gotten stuck on a ride...until last week.

We got to the first hill on Splash Mountain, just as the electrical parade had started and stopped....and waited....30 minutes, until a CM came over and got us off the log, led us down steps, around the back, walked through the boat scene and a couple others on a ledge, out the back again. Luckily, we were on a boat with a lovely woman from New Orleans (DIS'er perhaps?) who braved Disney for a week with her friend and their combined 6...count em...6 girls! I felt bad for them as it was their last night and the re-entry passes they gave us for MK would do them no good.

Funny thing was, her daughter called her when we had just gotten off SM and told her she was stuck on BTMRR. So, what have you been stuck on?

Never been stuck in WDW (at least not for more than 3-4 minutes -- Spaceship Earth and Haunted Mansion come to mind), but had a similar experience to yours on Splash at DL. Had to walk down the hill, past a couple of show scenes and out the back doors. Got a one-time any ride, any time fastpass for our trouble.

My more interesting experience happened the very first time I went to WDW as a kid (I think I was 8 -- it was the first or second year EPCOT was open). At the time, you could buy passes from desks in off-site hotels (not sure if you can still do this). I believe we stayed at Holiday Inn Maingate, but not positive, and my parents bought the tickets there. There was nothing shady about the transaction. Anyhoo -- we get to EPCOT and turns out the tickets we were given were counterfeit! Had to go behind stage to security for about 45 minutes while my parents gave them all the info about where the tickets were purchased and EPCOT security called the hotel to verify. Everything was cleared up and we received real tickets from the security officers.

Splash Mt. here, too! Back in '04. On the big hill, at the bottom! At least a half hour....seemed like forever. If I had to hear the re-start recording one more time I was gonna scream. Finally it did re-start and off we went.

We got stuck on Splash Mountain at almost the same spot. We are heading up to the first hill and suddenly the ride stops and all the lights come on. Then a voice booms out, "Sir stop right where you are! Do NOT get back on the boat. Someone will be there immediately. I repeat DO NOT get back in the boat!"

Don't know where or exactly what had happened, but the rest of us had to wait while they took care of the situation. But it was only about 5-10 minutes.

Got stuck on Journey Into Imagination in 2002....right at the very end, for at least half an hour.....worst part was hearing that "IMAAAAAGINAAATION" song over and over......still have no idea why they couldn't just turn it off

We got stuck this past Friday on Splash. At the very top of the big drop! We had to wait about 25 minutes for a CM to come and lead us back down the hill, through the attraction, and out through a back exit. We walked out back where the parade floats are stored, then through a door back into the outdoor que area. At least they gave us each a fast pass valid for any other ride in MK!

We got stuck on ToT. We entered the drop shaft and then nothing happened. We wouldn't drop. People were clapping thinking that the pause was for suspense but I knew that something was wrong and I was holding on for dear life just in case. We were just sitting there in the dark for about 5 minutes.

THen finally a recording came on the PA system and told us that there was a malfunction and that the elevators were under control (which calmed me down.) A couple minutes later a CM came on the PA and said that they were turning the lights on and that in a few minutes they'd bring us down. They turned the work lights on, so we could see the drop shaft perfectly. A little bit later they sloooowly brought the elevator all the way down. We exited through the normal place and a CM met us and said that whoever wanted to ride again to follow him. Most of us followed him into a real elevator, upstairs to the loading area where we boarded another elevator and everything went well that time.

I got stuck on peter pan when I was young. My mom and I were on one of the ships somewhat near the door so eventually a CM helped us hop to the platform and leave. Dad and sis were in the boat behind us, though... and were on there quite a while.

I got "stuck" on splash mountain in 2000 ... a bit differently than most though. It was EMH and ex and I rode it.. there weren't many others in the park and they just kept it going.. 4 times.. didn't stop it. I guess they thought we wanted to ride it over and over. 2 times was cool but after the 4th when it looked like we'd be going AGAIN .... EVERYONE in the boat yelled STOP!!!!!!

Several years ago DH & I were stuck on BMTRR, in the bat cave!!!! After about 10 minutes a CM walked up a path beside the tracks and told us it had stopped because someone on another train had tried to stand up during the ride. After that errant guest was escorted off...and out of the park I imagine....we were on our way.

Oh man, I've been stuck on so many rides. Haunted Mansion is my favorite to get stuck on...it's great. Especially at the Ballroom scene. But this one time we got stuck on Splash Mountain...RIGHT before the big drop on the incline. As if the anticipation for the drop wasn't bad enough...we were stuck there 10 minutes before it happened!

I got stuck on Test Track a few years ago. We were doing the "high speed test" on the part that goes outside the building and gets the car up to speed. We got up to 100% speed, and then the car blew one of the tires. It was smoking and brought us to a sudden stop ON AN EMBANKMENT. I was using all my arm muscle power to try not to squash the person on my left since gravity was pushing me into him. The brought us back into the station slowly and then pulled the car in for service. Unique experience. Plus, I also got stuck on TOT just before the big drop. The power went out (air conditioning, sound, lights, the whole bit. We sat there 2 or 3 minutes before we just dropped without warning. That was much scarier than the car thing because we didn't know when the power was going to come back and when to expect the drop. LOL all in good fun. :rotfl:

We have been stuck on a few. Dinosaur (a few times), Peter Pan and It's a Small World. Never for very long though, probably 10 minutes was the longest.

One of the funniest was on Dinosaur. It was at the very end when you are going through the tunnel to get back to the future. The narrator is yelling "We're not going to make it, we aren't going to make it!" Just then the lights turned off and the ride shut down. A man from the back of the car yelled, "We didn't make it!" I have never laughed so hard on a ride before. :rotfl: :thumbsup2 :rotfl:

We were stuck on SM twice. Once near the beginning of the ride for about 15 to 20 minutes and once just after the big drop. The ride stopped right at the point where there is a small water fall nearing the end of the ride. It stopped at a point where the water was flowing down into the log all over me. My 3 kids in front of me didn't get a drop on them. :rotfl2:

With any continuous loading ride at Disney, there will be pauses sometimes whenever they have to load on a person that is physically chalanged (ie. uses a wheelchair). This usually always happens on haunted mansions and spaceship earth- one time it happened when we were at the very top- it was great.

Oh, my gosh-for several years we couldn't go on SE without getting stuck. One time we were stuck so long (almost 1/2 hour) we almost missed our ADRs. Now we won't go on it if it's close to an ADR time, just in case. We've also been stuck on HM a few times. And DH and DS were stuck on ToT right after it opened in 1994, so when the elevator stopped and the voice came on saying there'd been a malfunction, they didn't know if this was all part of the ride (it wasn't). Got evacuated from UoE once. And I got stuck way up on the Skyway once just before it closed. Although I haven't been stuck on TT, DS got stuck for several minutes once and he was in the corrosion room. Stinky!

Test Track. From my trip report:

We arrived at Epcot about 9 AM. We went directly to Test Track for our first ride ever. Grabbed a fast pass on the way in. The line was only about 5-10 minutes. Our car broke down just before the “truck” thing....if you know what I mean. We were stopped for about 5 minutes, which gave us ample time to look around while the mechanic wordlessly fixed our car. It was pretty cool. Then we rode slowly through the truck area and the rest of the ride seemed OK. The good part was, when we pulled into the station, they let us ride again without getting out! So after exiting the ride we just gave our Fastpasses to some other family of four.

I got "stuck" on RnR! Actually we rode the entire ride and were pulling up to where you get off. Well, apparently one of the security sensors on the tracks went off shutting down the operation, and there were two other coasters in front of ours, but since they were unable to move them we could not move up to get off. So they switched to a manuel mode and opened up our saftey harnesses. Then we had to walk back UNDER the entire track. It was awesome, they had the "house" lights on so you could see just how much twisted metal was in the building! It was amazing to see the entire track. The Cm was like "don't take any pictures", but everyone had thier camera phones out!

The CM then gave everyone a pass to ride it again and bi-pass the line.

We became stranded for 15 minutes on the World of Motion ride, years ago. It was at the part where the anamatronic man is trying to lift up the back end of his donkey, that was in the sitting position. The anamatronic man grunts and groans mightily as he is lifting. On a normal run of the ride, you might hear it once as you pass by. Stranded for 15 minutes and listening to that soundtrack over and over brought on some pretty hysterical laughter.

We also got stuck at Test Track, during a "rain delay". We were in the heatlamp room for 5-10 minutes before they slowly started moving cars thru one at a time. Even though the heat lamps weren't full-on, you could still see the filaments glowing, so they were still generating some heat. The worst part was that we were inches away from the cold room!

It was still raining by the time we hit the high-speed loop, so we got a little wet-- the free return passes helped dry our eyes.

We were going to visit a relatives house in Kissimmee and we decided to "run" to WDW for one last ride before we leave for home. We have AP.

The pirate ride breaks down. It was right before the treasure room. They put the lights on and stopped the music. The boat in front of us was heavily loaded (I'm no lightweight) and it was sitting mighty low in the water. A cm had them raise their hands over their head and rock back and forth (like at a concert). They were trying to get them dislodged. Finally another cm came in waders to push them along. We were there for a bit more than 1/2 an hour. Of course having ds4 along we had water and snacks.
