Hi friends. December 26th is the day for me (or morning, I guess I should say). We'll be in the parks Feb 25- March 2... Hopefully after the Pres. day crowd, and Marathon crowd, and before Spring break crowds... a "slower" time...
Three adults, one 5.5 y.o boy, over 44"

Here are the FP+ I plan to make, and where I need a little help. I read these boards every single day, including Mesa's FP bible-thread, so I am educated... just hard to decide in a few areas. Can you all help me please? Here's my list:

Day 1 - MK - TomorrowLand, FantasyLand - RD to about 4, 4:30 pm
1) SDMT - (if I can get it, and if I don't, I plan to check every day, so I'm sure I'll come across it at some point)
2) Peter Pan
3) Haunted Mansion

Day 2 - AK - RD to close (5 pm) - doing Safari at RD
1) FOTLK
2) Everest
3) ???? should I pick Dinosaur?

Day 3 - HS - RD for Jedi Training, doing Star Tours early morning- full day with break, return for F!
1) Toy Story
2) Twilight Zone
3) ??? should I get something else?

Day 4 - Epcot - 11 am - 5 pm, Future World, leisurely day
1) Spaceship Earth
2) Mission Space Green (do I even need it???)
3) Soarin'

Day 5 - MK - maybe early morning, large break, return for Wishes - Adventureland, Frontierland
1) Pirates of Caribbean
2) Jungle Cruise
3) ???? what should I pick here? Should I do MSEP or Wishes? Yes, I've read all those threads, I just don't know what to pick!!!

Day 6 - Epcot - 2 pm - close, World Showcase, Illumintions
1) Test Track
2) ??? nothing else? Turtle Talk??? Touring plans has the waits under 10 minutes!

Thanks for any input. My biggest question is MK day #2.

I can't speak for FP+ because I haven't experienced that yet. But as for rides my opinion is:
Day 2: I have never waited more than 30 min for Dinosaur. KSafari on the other hand..... If its available, my kids LOVE it and the wait is forever without a FP.
Day 4: Spaceship Earth - I've never waited more than 30 min.
Day 5: I'd prefer Wishes between those two.
Day 6: Is Soarin available again? Def. worth a second ride....

Looks like you are about to have a MAGICAL time :) Jealous mine is still so far away!

Thanks for the tips!
Can't get Soarin' on Day 6 because it is also a Tier 1 like TT. Oh well.

On my AK day, maybe I should get another Safari FP?

My Vacation is so far out I have learned about the Tiers and ins and outs of the new FP+ stuff. :)

My kids LOVE Safari and that was almost 5 yrs ago.....

Mine train probably won't be a problem. We've been able to get that for February without any problem.

As a general note, where you have comments such as "??? should I get something else?", the answer is YES. Select something, anything. Since after the fact, you cannot just add in a third FP if you change your mind. You would have to cancel existing FP first and then reschedule 3.

For Epcot, we had very short waits for Turtle Talk, Nemo, etc. But for for Day 6, you can just select something like Turtle Talk just to have. Or do you think you'd like to ride Spaceship Earth or Mission Space again? No harm selecting them more than once (on different days).

Day 5 - if nothing else that you'd like, then you can try for parade or fireworks. But I don't think they are available at the 60 day mark. So again, just select something, and keep checking as it gets closer. You can always change that third dummy FP to Wishes or MESP when it appears.

Day 3 - For your HS day, does Star Tours interest you? If so that would be a good one. Or just select a show that would interest you if not.

Thanks all, good advice. I do remember reading something about NOT picking a second or third FP+ and getting stuck later and not being able to chose. So, I'll definitely grab something. Parades if they are available, dummies if they are not. Maybe even SDMT again if I can. I have a son, so while he likes Frozen, I'm not sure he cares to meet any princesses.

I'll check out the Epcot rides again and see if there is something we might want to do twice.

At HS, I know we'll like Star Tours, but we'll do that earlier in the morning when lines are shorter. But if I can't decide on anything else, I'll pick it again since I know it can be a different sequence.

Thank you!!!

If you do select a third FP just because (and you should!), and if you think it might be a FP to burn (in that you intentionally won't use it), perhaps you should try to schedule it for early in the day. That way, when your 3 faspass selections expire you can choose a 4th FP based on what is available and what you are most interested in at that time (with more first hand knowledge of how things are going for your family that day).

Hi! I just did my FP selections on Tuesday so hopefully I can help! First, of all, don't put too much into planning what times you want to do everything ahead of time. My husband and I spent hours Monday night figuring out what times of day we wanted to try and get FPs for and then they weren't available for those times (or one critical thing wasn't) and I had to re-vamp our whole schedule. It took me 3 and 1/2 hours from beginning to end.

I think your list for Day 1 at MK looks great, we did FPs for SDMT, Buzz Lightyear, and Enchanted Tales with Belle (I have 2 boys - that one is all for me!) Plan is to do Peter Pan at RD, and maybe Small World. We were unable to get a FP for the parade :( I had to call Disney about something else, and I asked them about the parade and they said the FPs go super fast. Honestly with a 4 and 7 year old, and no afternoon break, it's a crapshoot as to whether we'd make it to the parade anyway! For our day 2, we did FPs for Haunted Mansion, BTMR, and Jungle Cruise. The line for Jungle Cruise was one of the worst we have ever waited in last year. We have never had too much of a wait for Pirates, so we choose to wing it on that one. Maybe you should do BTMR as your 3rd for that day? oh, by the way, we had NO trouble at all getting the FP for SDMT, there were tons of times available. I'm sure you won't have any trouble.

We're doing 2 days at AK, so for day 1 we got FPs for Safari, Everest, and Disney Pals at Adventure Outpost. I think we might change that one though, sicne we're having lunch at Tusker House. Not sure it's necessary to do both? Day 2 we're doing Safari again, Dinosaur, and the Nemo show. Last time we were there the waits didn't seem too long for Dinosaur, but my son didn't want to go on it. I don't think it's necessary for that ride, but if there's nothing else you want to use it on, you might as well!

We're also doing 2 days at HS. Day 1 FPs are Rockin Roller Coaster, Star Tours, and the LMA stunt show. We had trouble last year with having an obstructed view and are hoping this will give us a better view, plus be closer to the bottom so we can get out faster to get to our dinner reservation. I don't actually know where the FP seats are, but a girl can hope :) We're also planning on getting there at RD to sign up for Jedi training that afternoon, my oldest DS did it 2 years ago and loved it, and now my youngest is old enough too! Day 2 FPs are Toy Story, Tower of Terror, and Indiana Jones, but I honestly doubt we'll stay for IJ. But like someone else said, you have to book 3 or else you have to cancel all of them if you want to add a 3rd (stupid policy, in my opinion).

We're doing 1 day at Epcot - plan is to do Soarin at RD, and then we got FPs for Test Track, Mission Space, and Turtle Talk. You definitely do NOT need a FP for Nemo/Turtle Talk, but there was nothing else we wanted a FP for, and thought that maybe the FP seating would be up front and my kids would be more likely to get picked to participate. Again, just speculating. I heard you really don't need FP for Mission Space Green, but again, there was nothing else we wanted, so we might as well!

Hope something I shared was helpful! :)

I'd get a Star Wars for HS day. Even if you ride it first thing, each time you go your adventure can be different so so it more than once.

MK- if there's two msep that night and you have a crowd that doesn't mind staying out late, do the fp for wishes and go to second msep when the crowd is much lower.

Thanks folks!

Heehee - we are doing the Tusker House lunch also which is why I skipped the meet n greet FP+. I think the lunch will suffice.

Prudence, thanks for that tip! There is a second MSEP that night! I forgot all about it. Maybe we'll grab the Wishes FP and catch the second parade. With a mid-day break, my late night crowd won't have a problem going past 10 pm I hope.

If your DS likes Frozen, then a FP for the sing a long is another option at HS (if you want to ride Star Tours on standby in the morning).

On your day 5, I would go 7DMT again. It's a great ride and you will want to ride it twice. We went last week and even during a "slow" time, the waits were 60-100 minutes.

Also, I would not schedule your most important rides as your first FP for the day. My only grip with FP+ is that there is no flexibility with 7DMT, A&E, or even TSM. For example, we had to change our plan mid-stream but could not change our 7DMT for a later time. It would have been better for us if I had originally scheduled it for our 2nd or 3rd fast pass.

Thanks, great ideas again. I think DS might like the Frozen Sing along, so we might try that.

And maybe the 7DMT again would be fun for us all. Thanks!!
