Getting Qualified and Disneyfied! March 2015 PTR

So, I'm not sure if you guys are aware of the #DisneySide parties going on right now, but I had Preschool Princess party kit sent to me last week and had a fun party! You can check it out here!

Things here are going well. I think our plans are falling into place. Right now, I really need to focus on deciding what we are going to do with our car in Chicago! LOL Our flight is ridiculously early in the morning, so we may need to do a Park and Fly option and I need to get on travelocity to figure out what our options there are! If I can find a decent price for a hotel then we will do that rather than park at the airport- it's kinda pricy.

We are TRYING to keep this trip a secret from the girls. It's going to be tough, but I really want to surprise them. Of course, Cortlyn may be upset that she wasn't aware so that she could get her own stuff packed. I'm HOPING that I can pack their stuff without them noticing. Cortlyn always helps me pack her outfits and then we stuff in Gallon Size Ziplock bags. This is a MAJOR help in the mornings! No fighting over what anyone is wearing- everything is in the bag! LOL They are labeled by the day and park. My husband loves it because he doesn't have to worry about what he is dressing the kids in. I love it because it's easier to pack and repack. I dump their ziplock bags into a drawer and call it done. :good vibes If you have small kids, I really suggest trying this! I can't tell you how helpful it is. When we traveled to see family over Christmas break my husband asked why I hadn't packed the girls in ziplock bags. Oops! LOL

Have you guys been entering in the Flip Side contest? Well, STOP. I want to win that night in Cindy's castle! :rotfl:

You could try making a game out of packing. "Hey Cortlyn we are going to go on a Pretend adventure. Where do you want to go? Let's go somewhere warm I'm tired of the cold. Well, if we are going on an adventure I guess we'll need to pack won't we? Wanna help me pack? "

Instead of labeling the bags with the days and the parks use a code. I am trying out using a spreadsheet for our trip this time. Every person has a color coded column and each day is it's own row. That way if something happens to the bags DH will be able to consult the Chart to know what bag to look for.

That's an idea...:goodvibes I have been asking her planning questions but in a "So, on our next trip to Disney- do you want to do x or b?" and that has helped me plan some of the meals and FP's! :thumbsup2

Why didn't you tell me that you had started? I'm bad about not looking at people's signatures so I totally missed it.

We almost always try to do sleep-n-park hotels- it's almost the exact same price as paying for airport parking and we get more sleep, can schedule an earlier flight giving us more time to squeeze in a park on our arrival day, AND we usually get a free breakfast. :thumbsup2

You're stronger than I am- I can NEVER keep a secret from my kids about things like this! Heck, I decided to make a stop at a place featured in Kya's favorite book on our upcoming trip to Washington DC and I lasted a whole day without spilling the beans- and that's just a pit stop!

OMG! What has happened to my Disboards??!?!?! I've been trying to just find my OWN PTR all week. Granted, I have been rather busy and not really able to sit down and actually look hard, but still. But I finally found it! This is going to take a while to get used to!! I'm telling you what! WOW! But YAY! Looks like the smilies are all here!!! :jumping1:

I have so much to catch up with! LOL And I have to add a new avatar??? Sigh. I loved that picture I was using....

I'm sorry! I thought I had! LOL It's not very exciting over here!

I've NEVER been able to keep a trip a secret... We have had a few close calls. :tiptoe:She thinks we might be going in June.

Your trip is getting so close! Have you decided what to do with your car yet? Which airport are you flying out of?

I know! Crazy how quickly this is all coming together!

You'll figure it out soon enough. Its actually not that bad. Just different.

I'm sure it's not bad, I just have very limited time and it's hard to remember what I learned the last time I was on... LOL
