getting out of the heat?

Where is your favorite place to get out of the heat for awhile? My mom will need to frequently find respite form the humidity and heat...other than gift shops and restaurants, are there rest centers? thanks!

Yes, each park has a First Aid center where she can go and relax (low 'beds' that can be separated by curtains for privacy).

Spaceship earth in Epcot was a great relaxing way to get out of the heat for a while.....there are attractions at every park where you can do this.....the Movies in the various countries at Epcot, Mickey's Philharmagic at MK, we weren't at AK for very long, but Festival of the Lion King (SOOO SORRY I MISSED IT!), I believe is indoors and cool.......At MGM the Voyage of the Little Mermaid and the Great Movie Ride were great for time away from the heat.
Of course there are the first aid stations as well, but if all she needs is a break from the heat then the attractions would be a good alternative.

One place I find very relaxing is Living Seas at Epcot. Seems there is a large view window down near the restrooms with some places around to sit. It is a nice place to watch the fish! I would think if she wants to be left some place where she can sit for awhile and perhaps do some looking around, this wouldn't be a bad spot.

When it is hot at the MK and we need a little down time in an air conditioned attraction we will go the Hall of Presidents or Carousel of Progress.
Aslo if you are in the Mainstreet area you can relax in the City Hall area.
