Getting on Gringotts

We will be at US next Thursday, August 20. If we save Gringotts for later in the day, how long do you think the line will be?

I would rather not have to do EE if we don't have to (we are staying at HRH). We are not morning people and like to take it easy at Universal. Last August we did EE just to get on Gringotts and it wasn't working when we got there. We did EE again the next day to ride it and waited 2 hours to get on. I was hoping now that it isn't as new the lines aren't as bad.

Usually the end of the day is the best time to ride it. There's hardly any wait during the last hour or so, usually. Of course, there's always the risk that the ride could be down, but that's not all that common.

That is what I was hoping to hear. We will try to ride it our first night and if it doesn't work out we have two more days to work it out. Thanks!

The posted wait time was 30 minutes about 9:30/9:45 this morning. I think the wait times have gone way down for Gringotts. I think the hardest ride to get on without a crazy wait is the Minions one. It was 70 minutes by 9:15 this morning.

I would agree. Now that Universal has Gringotts running at capacity it's a real people eater. Combine that with the fact that a 30 minute wait gives you time to savor the queue and Minions is the one I try to hit first if I'm riding it on a given day.

Do single rider. We got there on Friday and did single rider. They ended up putting my entire family together. It only took 15 minutes and the posted wait time was 45 minutes.

We just went and stayed at Royal pacific for EE and EP. We got to gate at 8am, took a while getting in and to Gringotts and there was no line so we started to go in when we noticed we needed to put my bag in a locker. By the time we came out of locker area, there was a line ALL THE WAY DOWN DIAGON ALLEY AND OUTSIDE. Don't know how that appeared in 5 minutes. I'd say it took 40 minutes to get on.

Remember to have someone (1 person) in your party go put everything in the locker(s), especially if the line is long. At Forbidden Journey, they could even put stuff in before you enter the building. It's pretty easy in both FB and Gringott's to have that person catch up to you, or you can wait at an interesting spot. It saves a ton of time.

This happened to us. We were second at the turnstile and got in quickly. DS decided he needed to go to the bathroom. I remembered the one near the stuffed animal shop across from the ice cream shop in Diagon Alley. So, DS and I headed to the bathrooms, and DH headed to the lockers. By the time we got out, the line was out of Diagon Alley. Luckily, DH got in line about where the stage is. It wasn't too long of a wait, but there was no one there when we headed into the bathroom. I have learned my lesson to make DS go to the bathroom about 30 minutes before park open, because we usually get there pretty early for rope drop.

Well we slept in a little today and arrived at the park around 10. We planned on saving Gringotts for late afternoon, but by 12 everyone wanted a frozen butter beer. We headed over to Diagon Alley and the wait was only 30 minutes so we rode. Line moved really fast it was great.
