Getting on Cabana waitlist

I would like to get on the waitlist for a Castaway Cay cabana as soon as we board the Disney Dream for our cruise. Do you get on the waitlist at the Guest Services desk or the Port Adventures desk? I would be very sad if I missed a top spot on the wait list because I waited in line in the wrong place. Thanks!

Guest services. We were on the Dream less than a month ago. We got on the wait list at Guest Services and got one. It was the first time ever on the wait list. We were super happy, were #7 on the list. We got #11, it was great.

We sailed The Magic last week, I went right to Guest Services when I boarded and put my name on the wait list.
They called with cabana #14 for us before we even sailed out of Port. There were actually 2 cabanas #16 & #17 closed up and not rented, I was very surprised.

Thank you for the good wishes! I know Castway Cay will be fun whether or not we get the cabana, but I would love to get one and so will make every effort by checking online before the cruise and heading right to guest services to get on the waitlist once on board. We have an early port arrival time and so should be on the ship in good time.

We didn't get on the ship until after 2, I went right to port adventures to get on the waitlist. They told me to go to guest services and then said call from your room. I did. The next morning we were using the rain forest room and the wave phone rang. We got cabana 17. I loved it. It was worth every penny. We practically had the beach to ourselves. I have pictures of just my 2 kids in the water

And don't make the mistake I made!! I had all my "ducks in a row" in hopes of scoring a cabana off the wait list. Scored the earliest PAT online. Arrived to port early enough to be in first boarding group after concierge/platinum/family of the day. Was front of the line for our boarding group. Was so excited upon boarding....it took me over an hour to remember to go sign up!!
