Getting membership number from DVC

What info do you need to provide to membership administration for them to verify who you are? Since I'm also a foreigner I dont have a US SSN.

I live in the U.K and they asked me for my full address, contract name and where the contract was for :)

Couldn't help it so I called today.

Member administration tried to look me up by my info but without luck.

I assume it still too soon.

Regards

That's strange! I just received my member number via post. I live in the U.K. So was very impressed with the speed!!

Yeah I was so hoping that the info was in their systems. I could see that your deed was recorded around the 8th of sepember, so you have quite the headstart - but I'll keeping calling.

Just for my own clarification, when you called did you use option 1,2,or 3 ?

It's been 13 days since our deed was recorded on the occ site so I went to call today. Had to speak to 3 different people before a 4th person was willing to give me my member ID by verifying a slew of information with me.

1st Call. Option 3 didn't work. Transfered me to MS so based on what I read here, hung up and called back.

2nd Call. Option 1 didn't work. I was not "in the system yet"

3rd Call. Option 3. 1st person didn't give me any information but transferred me to another person (I think Member Admin) who was extremely nice and gave me my member number. Then transferred me to to get my club id and activation code.

All set up just waiting for my points to show up now. And FWIW, I was told the account was set up yesterday (12 days)

My husband called for our number on Friday (14th) our deed was recorded on October 4th. He selected option 3 for account services. He said that we were trying to book a vacation and was told by member services to contact account services to get the member number. He used the contract number from the original contract, our last name and verified a few other things. Account services gave him the new contract number and membership ID then transferred him to member services who provided club IDs and one time activation code. Everyone he spoke with was extremely nice and helpful. My advice is be as friendly and confident as possible when you call.

Yes! Thank goodness for all the friendly and understanding cast members who help us. We got our info two weeks ago and were able to book two vacations. We still don't have our packet in the mail so I can't imagine if I had to wait until then.
