Getting kicked out while typing replies

omg. can you please freaking remove the stupid ads that collapse the keyboard as you type. this is so unbelievably annoying.

you know what, never mind...i think i can turn on my VPN and it will block the ads so you get no revenue but at least i can type.

Do you think I would intentionally place ads to close out replies? Some ads are auto-placed by Google, but other issues happened after the most recent update to the forum software, which I do not control. If I deleted the ads, then these boards would not be free. Maybe I'll create an ad-free paid plan.

i dont know ...but the only ads i see are they moving ads. clearly the makers of this board need to update the code to account for this situation...so you may need to reach out to them because this is horrible to use. sometimes my keyboard close 5+ times when writing even a short message.

I'm not entirely certain that I'm having the same issue, but I'm randomly getting pop ups and it's to a scam site. This could be an issue with my phone and not the disboards, but it only seems to happen when I'm on the boards.

Every few minutes while scrolling, I get a “problem occured” link message. This has been going on for awhile now while using my iPhone.

No problems in particular with typing responses... but I'm also randomly being sent to a blank page while scrolling. Just reading along and suddenly I'm just loading something that never loads. Refreshing gets me nowhere, and clicking back gets me the previous page. It's been a few weeks, but I've spent the last 20 minutes or so seeing if anyone else complained.

Still happening to me.
Sometimes replying to a post can take me over half a dozen attempts as either the screen goes full white, or I'm redirected to a virus site. (Mine is a "McAfee" post saying to "click here" for a virus scan"... uh... nope.)
Only happens on this site and happens on my phone, laptop, or any of the half dozen or so computers I use at work. (Which is for a very large and very well protected company.) The virus page is blocked at work, however I do get redirected to a page that says "Blocked" by my company.

Tried reading other posts. Took me half a dozen "refreshes" due to white screen while reading page 2. Won't bother with page 1 as it's too difficult.

I just disabled some ad units. Let me know if it continues.

Still continuing, but it's hard to tell if it's better or not.
I did some multi-quoting and had the page go blank twice and redirected once.
I then left the screen, untouched, for several minutes and nothing happened. I then switched to a different computer altogether and nothing happened while I typed all my responses...

But...

It's intermittent. Some pages, I can type... some I haven't been able to type at all. However, three refreshes is a far cry from the dozen or more I was doing... still too early to tell if there's an improvement. I'll come back to this thread in a few days with an update.

Update.
Signed onto the Dis... opened two threads... and immediately got this as I started to read:



After backing out of that, I got this three times in a row.



On the first virus page, I could hit the "back arrow" a couple times and reselect the thread.
On the blank page, I can hit the "refresh button" and reload the page, except it opens at the top of the page and not the location where I was when it went blank.

I also got the same blank page as soon as I started typing on this thread, and again as I was finishing typing this.

Okay... opened several pages today with no issues.
Multi quoted three separate posts and replied with 27 comments and did not get the dreaded virus page or the blank screen.
Hoping maybe it's fixed. Will post again if it reoccurs, but otherwise, fingers crossed.

Update.

While I thought that the problem had been solved... it's not quite gone yet.

I've multiquoted and commented on several threads...
The last one I was doing today once again linked to the virus page (although it was blocked by my work's firewall.)
However, it only happened once. So a definite improvement from the dozen or more crashes I was experiencing before.

Not ideal... but better, I suppose.
