Getting in to DL at parade time

What if we want to come in to DL at the height of parade time? We watched the parade last year and thought that this year we'd try to ride some rides while (hopefully) the majority of the crowds enjoy the parade. What I remember is that when we were to watch the parade (the circle area... I'm sure it has a name but I don't know it... by the park entrance) really clogged up those entrance tunnels.

Any tips on how to aviod this? We have ps each night at 5:30 or so (we'll be there on weeknights only), and think we might be trying to head back in to DL right at that crazy parade time.

Take the monorail in. That's what my friends and I do when we're entering the park when the parade will be on Main Street.
