Getting from WL to AKL

In December we will be staying at AKL. On Sunday, 12/2 we will be having dinner at Artist Point. Magic Kindom closes at 7pm this night, according to travel agent park hours link that I found on another thread. (I'm guessing there is probably a MVMCP this night, as park closes at 7 and no fireworks scheduled) We will need to return to AKL from WL after an 8pm dinner. If there is a Christmas party scheduled, I would assume there would still be buses running from MK and we could go from WL to MK, then take bus back to AKL. If there isn't a Christmas party, then my thought is a taxi would be our only option. Any thoughts?

This MIGHT get moved over to the Transportation thread but here you go:

1) Take the boat from WL to the MK and take the bus back (if the party is happening there will be buses all night)

2) Take the DTD bus at WL to DTD and then transfer over to the AKL bus

3) Cab (we did this same route and it cost us about $20)

Thanks! Didn't even think of the DTD idea. Just looked on Allears and it does list 12/2 as a date for MVMCP, so think I should be good heading back to MK to catch a bus to AKL.

In a similar vein, you could actually take a bus to any open park (Epcot, DHS, or AK) and then transfer to AKL.

Your fastest option is the taxi. Otherwise, if you opt to go to DTD or a park, allow up to 1.5 hours to get back (the rule of thumb is about 45 minutes per leg of your journey, when using Disney transportation).
