Our flight in is scheduled for 3:15 pm. We should arrive by towncar after short grocery stop by 5:30 (if all goes well). After supper at WCC we want to get over to either BCV or BWV to catch Illuminations cruise depending on which we can "hopefully" get.
Give me some ideas on how to get 5 people to either on of these resorts from WLV.

Well, the easiest would be to drive and valet park at either resort..but since you don't have a vehicle, that won't work.

The official WDW Transportation map will tell you to go to Downtown Disney and transfer to a BCV/BWV bus. We prefer to take the boat to MK and transfer to a BCV/BWV bus there. Or you can go to the bus stop and take the first park bus (MGM or EPCOT) that comes along and transfer at that park...but definitely avoid the DAK bus if you go this route!!

Or you could tell the person at the DVC desk in the WL lobby that you're interested in becoming a member and have them call the DVC van over for you to take you to BoardWalk! :p :p :p

Take a cab. That would be best...Or leave at least 1 and half to two hours to take WLV transport to either

MK by boat then a bus from MK to BCV/BWV/S/D--

or bus to MGM then a boat from MGM to BCV/BWV/S/D.

Getting back at that hour is also likely to be a challenge with the need to go to DTD then from there back to WLV.

Consider this:
One day car rental-from airport from Alamo -- you can plan to drop it off the next morning at the Swan/Dolphin and take resort transportation from there to theme park of your choice that morning. maybe make it easy and start at Epcot or MGM that day.... I bet the cost of a car for one day would be comparable to the cabs plus car service from the airport maybe even cheaper depending on the size of the car you are renting...you will still need car service back to the airport but I would bet the costs are pretty close and the convenience of having the car that first day are pretty darn worthwhile.

Im staying at 2 resorts at the same time,Okay Im giving family a 2bedroom villa at the Beach club and im staying in a studio at the WLV.The choices are Bus,Cab or take Monorail from Epcot but that would cost a day on your passes. Those are your options
Im staying 12/6-12/13

You could also take a bus to the TTC and then the Monorail to Epcot

Another choice is to have the front desk secure you a minivan type cab (be sure to tell them you have 5 in your party)

Thanks

please note than unless you have AP's or UPH's this is going to cost you a admission just to see Illuminations on Breathless. And it still will take up to an hour's time or more if things do not go smoothly with WDW transportation.

We did the same thing last year and took the boat to MK, then the bus to BCV. Our main hold up was waiting for the boat, if you allow yourself plenty of time this shouldn't be a hassle.
