Getting from Universal Resort to Disney Resort

Hi-
Looking for options on getting from Universal's Cabana Bay resort to Disney's Polynesian Resort. There will be 2 adults and 1 child plus 3 suitcases and 2 carryon bags. I've read there's a Mears transportation, taxi or uber. I don't think we would all fit in a taxi or uber unless we get the xl uber? I've never been in an uber before so clueless as to how that works. Will the disney minnie vans come and get us? That would probably be overkill expensive compared to the other options available. Just looking for ideas! Thanks all!

No Minnie Van. Get an Uber XL or Lyft XL.

Load either or both apps onto your smart phone now, and set up an account and payment method. Then just request one when you're ready to go (not until you're actually ready to walk out the lobby.)

Mears also has taxi vans, which should hold you and your luggage easily. They charge the same fare rate as taxi sedans, but that still might be higher than UberXL or Lyft XL. They're common around WDW; I don't know about UO.

We do this all the time and use Uber XL. Works great

Uber or Lyft are really easy -- no need to be intimidated. In fact, ease of use is one reason why the companies have been SO successful. Open the app, order a ride, and in just a few minutes your Uber pulls up.

And Orlando rates are among the lowest in the nation. In addition, Orlando XL rates are substantially lower than they are in many other markets. In Miami, our XL rates are more than double X, but in Orlando they're only about 1.5x.

Rideguru.com will give you ballpark estimates for Uber/Lyft (most levels of service) as well as taxi. They estimate $18 X or regular Lyft and about $28 for XL for Cabana Bay to Poly. Not a huge deal.

We have to go from Cabana Bay to Contemporary w/o our luggage next month. Plan on using Uber. Our experience s with them during previous trips has been great.
