We arrive late in the afternoon (in August) and since this is our first time at Disney we're thinking about taking a monorail ride after checking in, stopping at Poly to view the fireworks and the Electric Water Pageant. My questions is from Poly would we take the monorail to TTC and than get a bus back to POR? How hard/crowded do you think that will be after the fireworks? - heard a lot of people leave the park at that time.

I am not sure about buses at the TTC you could walk to the TTC & take a bus from Epcot or take the monorail to MK and get the bus there Or take a cab.

It all depends on when the parks close that night.

If the EWP is right after Wishes, (or if MK is having a EMH night) you could get on the monorail to the MK and catch the POR bus from there. If wishes is earlier in the evening and MK closes a couple hours before EWP, that option wouldn't work.

After EWP, if Epcot is having an evening EMH, you could walk over the to TTC and take the Epcot monorail and then the POR bus from Epcot.

IF MGM is having an evening EMH, you could take the MGM bus from the Polynesian, and then the POR bus from MGM.

The other options are a bus to DTD or take a Taxi.

There are no resort busses at the TTC.

Your easiest option is to grab a cab at the poly.

Or depending on the time, you may want to grab a bus to DTD and then take the boat back to POR. Or wander around downtown for awhile. Have fun!
