Anybody have some suggestions abut the best way to get from All Star Music to Universal?

Price is, of course, a concern but we're also interested in reliability and, to some extent, flexibility. By that I mean, I may be itnerested in having the ability to change my mind as to the time I want to leave (which would mean using a cab probably) but if the cost difference is enormous, I would stick to a schedule.

Thanks in advance!

2 years ago we stayed at POR and went to Universal for the day. We contacted Mears a week before to make a reservation. They told us what time they would pick us in the morning and in the evening. I think the price was $12 per adult and $6 for a child (I could be wrong because it has been awhile). It worked out great and if we ever decide to go to Universal or SeaWorld I would contact Mears again. They also told us that if we decided that we wanted to leave early that we could contact them and they would direct us accordingly. Hope this helps you out.

I did this last year and it was fine. They are usually very accomodating if you change your mind and want to leave earlier, I've never had a problem and I've used them almost every time I've gone to WDW. HTH

Best bet would be a Mears taxi from All Star. It will cost you about $35.00 for up to seven passengers. At Universal, when you are ready to go, walk to the taxi stand and request a Mears cab again. They doe have another cab on the stand which drivers cannot be trusted. I think they still have Diamond, but you can request a Mears cab for the ride back to Disney.
