Hello! As we are getting closer to our cruise in Sept I have more questions o_O

Can you still use over the door shoe organizers?

Çruise insurance... Has anyone purchases insurance through disney?

I'm thinking of having my 3yo and 1yo wear their swim suites under their clothes on embarkation day , would the kiddie splash area be open?

I think that's all ... For now at least :)

No for over the door organizers actually being hung over the doors. Get creative and hang them from the closet or a hanger or hooks on the wall.

Cruise insurance for us is non-negotiable. Will I ever use Disney's NO WAY! Too expensive and its not trip inclusive. I want door to door coverage so I use Travel Guard.

I can't remember if the splash pool was open. We always chose a late PAT so we can go straight to our room, drop off our heavy, liquor filled bags and then go straight to the muster drill.

following as I was thinking I would either carry my dd's swimsuit in our carryon or put it under her clothing since we are staying the night before at MCO Hyatt

My husband and I and our teens wear swimsuits with appropriate cover ups to the port. We usually board fairly early and this way we can grab lunch and hit the pool without dealing with the crowded bathrooms in the pool area. So much easier!

This is my first cruise as well. I like the idea of going onboard early and grabbing lunch.

Cruise insurance is a good idea! Just make sure the plan suits your expectation. There's a lot of stuff that isn't covered. The pools are open and so is the buffet. They do close off the pools for the sailing away party though. Turns into a big dance floor and it's really so fun. Depending on what your boarding time is it's perfectly fine to wear your suits underneath....sometimes your luggage can take long to be delivered to your room so just pack a day bag with your change of clothes for the evening for dinner in the event your bag gets there after your supposed to go to dinner. On our last cruise our bags didn't get to us until 10 pm and we were one of the first people to board!

Happy Sailing! Your going to have an amazing time....best vacation ever guaranteed

Oh fyi Cabanas the buffet is open on the Fantasy when we board the other restaurants are not. But the buffet is.

Great thanks everyone! Has anyone used a shoe organizer or some type of organizer in the closet or on hangers since we can't hang it over the door? I'm trying to imagine the set up

We use a fabric shoe organizer in the closets for shorts, tshirts, socks etc, there isn't nearly enough drawer space for me. It has a fabric band at the top with a Velcro closer. We bought it at Target for about $10 in the area that has hampers and storage bins.

Perfect! Thank you with 2 adults and 2 toddlers in the room I need all the space and organization I can get :)

Here are pictures of how I modified my over-the-door organizer so that I can hang it on the hooks in the wall in the stateroom. The 1st picture is the back showing how I added a wooden dowel attached with a zip tie and ribbon. The 2nd picture is the front. It worked great on my cruise in Oct.2013.

Always bring clothes pins to hang wet bathing suits in bathroom. Zip lock bags for all the "things" we much bring home and don't want lost (the kids know). We bring a large envelope folder and bring home all Navigators and other acquired paperwork,
