Getting around FW

I'll be staying at FW for the first time Aug. 1-8th (Cabin) and I am hearing again and again about how hard it is to get around the resort. If we do not rent a golf cart, how do I get to the pool, marina, Trading Post/Trail's End, etc. I've always liked going to FW before, but I'm wondering if it's too secluded for a long trip.

You could rent bikes, or bring your own if your driving...........or just take the internal buses around the resort.
FW is a big resort, but it's wonderful! There's so much to do!
The golf cart is our favorite way to get around, but we've used the bus system too with no problems.

We also love FW and find the seclusion to be very relaxing and tranquil.
We usually rent a golf cart as well but we have brought bikes a couple of times and also just used the internal bus system. If your loop happens to be near The Meadows you will be within walking distance to the campfire/movies/gift shop/swimming pool etc.

You could always ask at check-in to get as close as possible so that you can walk over. You would still need the internal bus to get down to the restaurant,HDDR,carraige rides,boat ferry,petting zoo,etc.
