Getting an Uber after an evening at MK

We are staying offsite, and my brother complained that last time they stayed for fireworks at MK, it took them forever to get an uber. Like, hours. I wondered if it's permissible/possible to take the monorail to, say, the GF after fireworks, and then uber from there? Or any of the monorail resorts. Or taking the ferry to Wilderness Lodge.

If you leave right after fireworks it's going to be busy no matter where you go and rideshare volume will likely be elevated. There is some debate as to if an Uber could pick you up at a resort if you are not a guest. They are going to ask for a name at the security post. Your luck may vary based on that (it feels like people should be able to get cars to and from dinners, etc. but they can be strict at the Deluxe resorts too). TTC is still probably your best bet. It may be better to just stick around and let the surging crowd leave, then head out once it's not so crazy.

When leaving MK with the crowds, I usually take the first available resort bus (doesn't matter which resort) and Uber from there. Never had an issue.

GF & CR are in the same area so I don’t see why there would be any benefit in taking the extra time to go to one of those hotels to pick up your rideshare vs TTC.
