I figured out how to look for earlier times, and read the whole thread, but can’t figure out whether or not you first have to delete the LL you already have, or can you click on an earlier one and go through the process with an option to replace the conflicting one you have in hand. Can someone clear this up for me?
It seems like by the time you go in and delete the one you have and go back in to grab it it would be gone. So it must be easier than that.

You do not have the ability to modify an LL so you would need to cancel before having a chance to book an earlier or better time

You are correct that it's near impossible to do, so most don't try.

Also, people see ‘fill in’ return times often but rarely get them even without having to take time to cancel. It’s difficult to get the earlier times you occasionally see.

Not only do you need to cancel then replace, by doing so you also may extend the time until you can book another LL.

For example, you booked a 1-2 pm slot at 7 am. You can book your 2nd two hours after park opening. Before the two hours after opening hits, at 9:30 am, you cancel it and move it up to 12-1 pm. You’ve now restarted your 2 hour cool down period and can’t book again until 11:30 am.

After using it, I would highly recommend booking only if the initial time works for you. Changing is not worth the hassle.
