Getting a lil surprise at POR

We will be staying at POR next week and I thought it would be really cute to just have one little Mickey and one little Minnie waiting in the room for my kids when we get there. Can that be done in the Moderate resorts? I know I have read about all kinds of surprises arranged for in the Deluxe/concierge level places, but does anyone know if I can accomplish this at POR? If so, any suggestions about how to do it? Do I call the gift shop at POR or guest services? Thanks! Liz

I understand that your rooms arent assigned until after you check in. When we stayed in the Poly, after reading all the experiences here, I called (and went online ) to WDW Florist, ordered a 'snack basket' which included a minnie mouse (or mickey) and I ordered flowers for our Anniversary. We checked in around noon, dh took a nap, we went to the pool, at around 4 we decided to hit the MK, and I forgot about the "surprise"...

when we returned from MK there was the flowers, and the snack! DD was thrilled! I played the mysterious part, pixie dust... and then it was easy to surprise her with a little something while she slept, I just put it out on her bed before waking her!

Here is the website for the Disney Florist to give you an idea of what they have available, www.disneyflorist.com. This the number for WDW Merchandising 407-363-6200. If you know what you want, they will do the park shopping and have it delivered to the gift shop at your resort. I think the Disney Florist might be the only one that will actually deliver to your room after you're checked in. There is also www.giftsofalifetime.com which offers park shopping and resort (not room) delivery.
