Ok, so my husband has got to go to Atlanta 4 times before the end of this year for work/training. Each will be a 4 night stay. I am thinking about booking through Hotels.com and signing him up for their Rewards program. If this works out like I am "thinking it can" he will have 16 nights under his belt and would be eligible for 2 free nights elsewhere.

Elsewhere would be Disney next year of course. Anyway, if anyone else out there has experience doing this please let me know. Tips, advice ect.

Been part of their program for years. It takes 10 stays to earn a free night. So................16 nights will only earn you one free night computed as the average cost of the first 10 nights.

We frequently stay off site and earn and/or redeem our free nights for places nearby. Even if not a free night, you can apply the "average value" of the previous 10 stays towards the eleventh night.

Oh, I meant to say that the classes are for 4 days, but he will check in one day before, so he will get a 20 night stay in before the end of the year, resulting in 2 possible free nights. Sorry. :crazy2: I am just thinking this sounds too good to be true. Anyone have any tips, advice, words of wisdom if I try to do this?

As long as you are a registered member, they will honor their end of the bargain. Even if you can not find a good deal on a WDW location, you could always apply your "free night" to another hotel of your choice sometime in the future.

Also be aware that I have combined hotels.com nights with other earned nights from other loyalty programs to really enjoy a multi-night low cost stay.

Ok. Great. I feel a little more confident in the program now. But is there any other rewards program with the online booking site that is any better? Or is this the best? I think orbitz has one, but I don't think it may be as good?:confused3 Thanks in advance.

I only have experience with hotels.com.

I started using them a few years ago and liked the fact that I could avoid the whole bidding thing and also cancel the reservation (up to a certain point) if my plans changed.
