This is definitely out of the norm. The problem is two new but limited availability resorts/resort areas opened for booking today. BLT was supposed to start March 1 (Sept 1 opening) but was moved up to Feb 8 (Aug 4 opening). The Treehouse Villas at SSR were already scheduled to begin booking today. I don't know what genius thought this would be OK, but it has been a nightmare, starting with the guides being told they needed to call each and every BLT owner to tell them of the date changes. Then, this date also happened to correspond with the booking dates for the Marathon, a pretty busy booking period in its own right.

There are busier days, but not like this...this is like calling in on the opening day of free dining promotions!

Finally got through just now - took almost 4 hours to book (started about 10 til 9) - got the dates I wanted but have to switch rooms - couldn't get a continuous stay in any view from 12/1-12/8. The CM didn't even say she was sorry when I told her what had happened - big disappointment!!!!! At least we have a room

For free dining promos, you do mean when you stay at a Disney hotel like in Sept?

During my redialing frenzy I composed an email to MS (with only my right hand, so I hope they don't take off for spelling). I'm interested to hear the response. I'm pretty sure they have to know what a disaster it was to schedule all this on this day, but it doesn't hurt to remind them

Ok, so I started dialing in around 8:59 to only get error and busy signals. Stopped around 9:45 to go to church. I got out of church around 11:30 to get the same thing for about 5 minutes. I got through and had about a 25 minutes wait.

I got my dates, which were thanksgiving and new years eve. I wanted MK view, but got LV. I waitlisted the MK view.

So, I'm happpy i got the dates I wanted, but a little frustrated that I didn't get MK view.

I was redialing every minute from 8:59 until 9:40 when I got in. Then it was another 15 minutes on hold praying verizon would not drop my signal. I was doing driving lessons with DS15 at the same time...talk about double your pleasure on stress!!

I got my existing 2BR ressie shifted into a THV for 10/21 - 25 in just a few minutes.

I agree MS should not have done the triple witching event today (THV, BLT and marathon weekend) but we are at their mercy. maybe they had an over/under pool on how many calls they would get. I am sure it is a new record.

I got two days in a one bedroom, MK view. I wanted the last two days of my trip but that was booked. I will now start my trip at BLT. Sept. 9 was gone by 10:45 Central Time. I am just happy that I get a MK view during my first trip to BLT.

I had such a crazy experience today....I was on the phone for 2 1/2 hours making these ressies!!!!

I booked a MK View Studio 12/22-5 nights. I booked a Lake View Studio 12/28-5 nights...MK Views were all gone by the time I got through.

I spent two hours redialing...I got through FOUR times, went through the menus, hit Option #1 twice and then I got a BUSY SIGNAL....then DISCONNECTED. I was SO MAD, I wanted to pull my hair out of my head. I almost gave up....seriously.

I used the private express line available for members who have at least 1,000 points and got through right at 9am.

I now have a 1-BR with a Magic Kingdom View room at BLT booked for Dec 5 - Dec 12 (7 nights)!!!!

After using three phones and calling for over two hours with no success, I was ready to give up until I saw this post.

Being in computers and knowing a little about phone systems, I was able to figure out the 'private express line' even though I am not in the 1000 point club

I was able to get a BLT MK Grand Villa over Thanksgiving Week
