Dialed like crazy for 1.5 hours then dialed less frantically...finally got through at about 12pm, on hold for 25 minutes...got what I wanted, BLT, three days in November, studio, MKV and one week in December, studio, LV. Hated the dialing and waiting, but what could I do...

I dialed and redialed constantly from 9am - 10am, then got tired of it and figured I'd just call back later. DH and I had pretty flexible travel dates, so imagined I wouldn't have a hard time getting what we wanted.

Well, we got ALMOST what we wanted -- BLT Lake View Studio from Nov. 1-6 We were hoping for an MK view, but for every single date range I gave MS, there were at least a couple days where the MK view wasn't available, so we just figured that we'll aim for that next time when it's not so crazy!

Yesterday was unfortunately a very full day for us, so after trying for about an hour in the morning, we had to finally give up and go about the rest of the day.

I called today and am on the waitlist for Nov 21-27. I booked backup reservations, assuming it is not going to come through. I guess one never knows.

This was a dumb way to manage these resorts coming online. However, we'll have a good time regardless of where we stay.

We got in by calling local 407 number at 8:59 and were able to get our ressie at THV on Jan 8-14. We had to walk it one day today to get our Jan 9th-Jan 15th dates we wanted. I am SOOOO STOKED! I can't wait to go to our quiet retreat after a day at the parks.

We dialed at exactly 6:59am (MST) and got through to a ring tone. It rang for a very long time. We were on 2 phones with it just ringing and ringing. Eventually, my husbands line answered and we were so stoked. We went through the menu (took 5 mins ) then got the answer we were waiting for. The gal on the recording said our wait was about 20 mins. It was actually 15 and we were on!

Got EXACTLY what we wanted thanks to Harry who was quick and knowledgeable. I gave him our 2 dates and he reserved our rooms (with just my name) to hold them. Once he got them, we entered all the other pertinent info. we needed.

Going 12/13-12/17/09 (weekend @ BC) then back to BLT 12/20-12/23/09
1br MK view. We had to borrow 80 points from next year, but we decided to splurge on our first trip home! We are planning to never borrow again, as we figured our points very carefully and don't want to..(let me rephrase that) can't afford to get "addonitis"

I also heard this morning, from a fairly reliable source, that all MK views (all room types) are already sold out for December (not counting a random night here or there). Anyone else hear this?

In any event, we are set for Christmas @ WDW and at BLT Seriously cannot wait!

I just want to say a big THANK YOU to whoever canceled their AKV concierge studio for Aug. 5 & 6!!
I am assuming it was somebody who switched to BLT. I was able to modify those nights from savanna to concierge, and now we check into concierge on my birthday.

I got Jan 10 and 11 in a one bedroom lake view. I also asked for an upper floor and close to the elevator. This is exactly what I wanted.

I've been away from a computer since Sat, but I was up at 6AM on Sun to snag a THV for 11/19 - 11/21 for after our Wonder cruise.
